It is less than a month

Scudley - 6-8-2013 at 05:47 AM

It is less than a month to the best kite party in North America and no one is making any noise. What's going on? Have you guys heard I am coming or something?
Looking forward to trying my new Nasca 11m from Dirt Slide's new (to him) Seismic buggy in someplace big enough to really appreciate 'em.

Bladerunner - 6-8-2013 at 06:39 AM

Booked my hotel room last week.

I can only attend Friday through Monday .

MeatÐriver - 6-8-2013 at 10:10 AM

Ready and waiting

shehatesmyhobbies - 6-8-2013 at 12:00 PM

I wish I could make it out there! No job at the present time so no money coming in, therefore no flights across the U.S. for a kiting event! Would love to ride the West side at least once for sure!

csa_deadon - 6-8-2013 at 09:39 PM

Gonna be the best one yet!!!!!!

All you need is a RT to SEA, I can provide the kites, buggy, everything you could possibly need. Even a ride to and from the airport and a place to stay, what more can I do?
I found a RT from Philly to Sea and back for $306.00. Do I need to raise some money to get the Pres out here to the better coast for bugging?
OK folks, any one want to help out? I have $25.00 in the hat so far.:D

sunset-Jim - 7-8-2013 at 04:24 AM

I'll match your $25 Jeff

csa_deadon - 7-8-2013 at 06:19 AM

I like this idea. How much can we raise in 2 weeks. Jeff check your u2u.

Bladerunner - 7-8-2013 at 06:30 AM

I would toss in $25 to ride with Rich again !
If this happens , count on me !

Morrie Williams - 7-8-2013 at 08:07 AM

I'm in for $25 too! Come on Rich!

shehatesmyhobbies - 7-8-2013 at 09:27 AM

Wow, I'm speechless! I did not figure on this happening. Guess I will talk to the wife more about it this afternoon and see if it can happen. One thing I have on my bucket list is to visit the West Coast. As a younger guy it was so I could surf the west coast, now as an adult, I just wanted to get there so I could put my toe in the water, now I may actually get to do what I love now with some great folks! Just don't know what to say!

Very touched by this offer. Thanks everyone! I will chime back in later today.

MDK - 7-8-2013 at 12:48 PM

Just got off the phone with Jeff, I will try and make it...is it really less than a month? time is flying

BEC - 7-8-2013 at 02:07 PM

I'm not even going but I'd chuck in $25.00 also to get Todd to the West Coast....dip his big toe...surf..and fly some kites...He does enough for everyone at our event so....pay it forward and this should bring the wind gods back to Wildwood for another awesome event.

If you stay long enough, you could come up the Washington coast to Westport - one of the premier northwest surfing locations. I have a room available!

zalex820 - 7-8-2013 at 03:28 PM

or you can send me the cash.
I have a paypal account already set up for such stuff as this, but I will look at the site you posted. thanks

Bladerunner - 7-8-2013 at 04:18 PM

If we can swing this I can take a tent and stuff down for Rich to live in at Buggy camp so accommodations could be free.
Many nights are pot luck style so food costs should be able to be kept low.

While the circumstances aren't the best at least you have the time off so we can make this happen !

dirtslide - 7-8-2013 at 06:19 PM

Im in for 25$ reasonable price to pay to buggy with the president. Will also be great to ride along side of you MDK ,hope you can make it Mike.:thumbup::thumbup:

sand flea - 7-8-2013 at 06:37 PM

I'm in for 25.00

Jeff- Would you be the collector please.

Buggy camp is awesome!

shehatesmyhobbies - 7-8-2013 at 07:15 PM

Wow again everyone! Looks likes I have a full green light from my better half. I can't tell you how thankful I am that this is happening. I'm not used to be on the receiving end of great gestures.

I spend all my days doing different things for so many. This is like Christmas for me. I would rather give a gift than receive. I am still beside myself that you guys are doing this.

I worked for the same company for 18 1/2 years and then we got the memo that we were closing down back in April. They gave us three months to get all materials to our customers, tear down the shop and ship all machinery to other plants. It was tough working myself out of a job. I was a committed employ so told them I would be there till I had to turn in my keys and I did.

This means so much to me!

bigkid - 7-8-2013 at 07:34 PM

Great to hear it Rich. As soon as I set it up and have a place to send the funds I will post it. Give me a day or 2,cant get to me computer till Friday cause the phone lacks a lot.
Remember guys, the East Coasties are not used to the same things as we are. It will take a bit for them to catch up with us, so speak slow and dont make any sudden movements. :D

shehatesmyhobbies - 7-8-2013 at 07:36 PM

Oh I can keep up just fine Jeff:D.

Morrie Williams - 7-8-2013 at 07:41 PM

Hey Jeff, Have you scheduled his flight yet?

Not yet, the carrier pigeons need a bit of an incentive to fly that far and back.

csa_deadon - 8-8-2013 at 05:26 AM

Bladerunner, let me check my camp gear. I know I have a tent or two and sleeping bags. It would be easier for me I think to transport camping then you (bigger cargo area!). I'll get in touch with you this week.

abkayak - 8-8-2013 at 05:40 AM

this is exciting….where do I sign?

As long as we can get Rich set up I am happy. I have the stuff but will camp at Motel 6 so won't have a need for it. Sounds like we have Rich " covered " ! We can firm things up once they get more firm.

I am thrilled that you have the green light Rich ! I think you'll have the time of your life ! :cool2:

sunset-Jim - 8-8-2013 at 07:38 AM

That's how the universe works Rich. You reap what ya sow, and you must have sowed some good seeds...:bigok:

bigkid - 8-8-2013 at 10:43 AM

MeatÐriver - 9-8-2013 at 10:00 AM

Looks like low tide is just after 4pm on that first Friday... should be just just enough time to get some riding in if traffic isn't too terrible. Oops...I jinxed it... I'm done for.

buggeyed - 9-8-2013 at 02:54 PM

I'll be there for the pre event on Thurs.29th and,Fri. leaving sometime Sun. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

The RV will be at Buds for the 9 days. Its up to Rich, a couple of tents and sleeping bags have been offered so if Rich wants to camp, motel, RV, or sleep on the beach he can do as he wants. I like Rich, but not for 9 days.

ChrisH - 11-8-2013 at 05:54 PM

Nice lol

sand flea - 12-8-2013 at 07:12 PM

Chris C1

shehatesmyhobbies - 12-8-2013 at 08:27 PM

were there on saturday? I was on sunday and it was a nice 12m day. tried out the new PL bigfoot. yep the beach is hard. do not like the fingers of water that reach up to the high tide mark, some are to deep to swim across.

dirtslide - 13-8-2013 at 08:46 AM

New PL bigfoot ? is that the new choice for the beach? :o:dunno:

tdmc96 - 13-8-2013 at 05:28 PM

I finally got my new passport back today and got the go ahead from work for the extra day.
I will be arriving early Saturday August 31st and leaving on Tuesday the 3rd.
Looking forward to riding and partying with everyone again.
STOKED!!!

See you all soon.

I have a bachelor party to go to on the 31st and two weddings the next weekend. I'm gonna be there early Friday morning and will stay until I can on Saturday. I might come back on Sunday the 8th for the day but don't know. :(
