All,
I have decided to exit all forms of kiting sports. I'll take up some more toddler friendly hobbies until my kids get old enough to kite. It would be
a shame to have all of my gear sitting around for the next 10 years, so you can have it all (for a small fee).
I live in Houston, TX. If you are in the area, you can save a bunch on shipping by picking things up here.
10m Airush Vapor RTF (2008) was $400 reduced to $300 - This kite is in great shape. I have only flown it 4 to 5 times. It has some professional
repairs done by ProKiteSurf.com. It flew great before and after the repairs. It is in almost perfect shape (besides the repairs). Comes with Kite,
Bar, Lines, and Bag.
SOLD 4.0m Flexifoil Blade III RTF was $300 reduced to $250 - I bought this kite new a few years ago and have only flown it a handful of times. I was
surprised at how good it looked when I took it out of the bag for pictures. It comes with kite, handles, lines, bag, and two kite killers.
125 cm Litewave Kiteboard was $125 reduced to $90 - This board is missing a fin but is in pretty good shape. It comes with board, three fins, and
foot straps. I do not have any pictures of it. If you want pictures, please contact me.
Surreal No-Limits FREERIDE Sessions Kiteboard Bag 155cm $35 (including shipping) - I bought this bag in December and used it on one round trip flight.
I had no connecting flights, so it has literally been on only two flights. It is in almost perfect shape. It is made for only one board, but you
can fit two in it if you remove the fins. If you remove the bindings, you should be able to fit three or four. I do not have pictures of this.
Three Buggy Wheels and Slick Tires was $150 reduced to $100 (includes shipping) - I have never used these. They appear to be in great shape. They
fit a Libre Hardcore, but I'm sure the bearings would work for many kinds of kite buggies.
Please see the pictures at my Picasa Web account.

Unless specified, shipping is not included in any of these prices. We will have to work that out on a per-item basis.
Call me if you want to discuss anything in particular (281-734-nine one eight seven). A U2U will work, as well.
Thanks,
Jason

This is certainly sad news to loose a member. Even if just for a while. But some one will get an awesome buggy out of this. And at a good price. I
just got big foots for my Libre and the tires rims and fork were close to what this buggy costs. I wish I had the cool down tube too!!

I dont want to talk you into keeping your stuff, as it is up to you.
I got into kiting for the reason you are leaving. For years it was "me sports", sky diving, hanggliding, scuba diving, mountian/rock climbing, etc.
Nothing that a new family could be part of.
Kites opened the world to my grand kids who are now between 3 and 16. Elmo and big bird were great 1-line kites to start with and as they watched
grandpa with the 2 and 4 line kites things grew.
I spend most of my family time now when at the beach or park flipping kites, fixing lines, and watching others learn and play. I do get out with
grandma and play from time to time.
Overheard my grandson tell his soccer team he was going kitebugging instead of goofing off after the game as the others were planning to do. I ended
up with 3 extra kids that day and they think kites are better than home(not sute about that). When the 3 boys saw the 15m NPW I got out they were big
eyed and after Blaine told them he has flown it...A proud moment for grandpa.

All,
Thanks for the kind words about leaving (or not leaving) the sport. I really liked kiting for a few years, and I will probably get back into it. My
children (3.5 and 1.5 years old) really like flying the small one line kites we have, but I would rather take my wife and kids canoeing, camping,
hiking, bike riding, etc. Those are things that we can all do together.
I have added a few items to my list. I hope to sell everything soon, since I will be moving to a new house and do not want to bring it with me.
Thanks,
Jason

Someone is going to get the deal of the century on that Libre!!!!!!!
martinipro - 11-8-2013 at 06:37 PM
I want it! Just figuring out shipping options!

I hear ya about the fambly, JB. I am very lucky if I get one good day UN a month. Luckily JIBE was pretty fun for the family, so I think we will go
again next year. That being said, if I were a better man, I should probably follow your lead, but I think one toddler is easier to manage than 2.
Oh... and I'm not a better man.
I applaud your good sense and values, sir. Can I please have that awesome buggy for free?
bourgeois.jason - 12-8-2013 at 03:53 AM
All,
I have had a bunch of inquiries about the Libre. You can still send your questions, but there are at least four people in line already. I do have
some other nice gear that you can buy. Don't forget about that.
Thanks,
Jason

I added a kiteboard bag to the list and have marked the items that have either been sold or reserved.
I'm surprised that nobody has shown interest in the Airush Vapor. That kite is heavy duty and is very well made. If I were staying in the sport, I
would definitely keep that one. It could be a higher wind kite for a big guy, a mid wind kite for a medium guy, or a lower wind kite for a small
woman. Basically, if you kitesurf, it would be a great kite to add to your quiver. Also, I'm including free shipping with that one! I can't see how
you could pass up such a great deal.

I just added some slick buggy tires and wheels.
Snake - 13-8-2013 at 09:15 PM
Interested in the folding bug but shipping would be crazy expensive. Any clue how much it would cost to send it to ND?
bourgeois.jason - 13-8-2013 at 09:42 PM
Snake,
I think it would probably cost about $75 to ship. I just shipped two kites that weighed 34 pounds in a 20" cubed box. It cost $50.50 for FedEx
ground shipping. I think the USPS could have done it for $35. With that in mind. I do not think this buggy is much more than 40 pounds. It should
be able to ship inside of a box not much bigger than 20" cubed.
Thanks,
Jason

I guess I will have to list a few things on Craigslist or Ebay. I'm tired of seeing this stuff in my garage.
Thanks to everyone who purchased some of my stuff.
bourgeois.jason - 16-10-2013 at 06:24 AM
I never got around to listing things on any other site; therefore, I have reduced the prices again. Please see my edited original post.
