Custom two person crab buggy

skyeg3 - 11-8-2013 at 07:35 PM

I am curious if anyone can help me find a custom kite buggy builder that would be interested in making a custom adapted two person crab buggy for people with disabilities. The buggy would be very similar to this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dw-eVN6Qh7Q

The goal is to make a crab buggy that can be operated by two people without leg function, one to fly the kite and the other to steer.

If anyone can point me in the direction of someone that would be capable of something like this, I would appreciate it!

I absolutely think all of us would love to help and will do the best we can. Popeye is going to be the most amazing resource for this, as the man has an incredible depth of knowledge about buggy, please don't feel we're pawning you off recommending him!

And yeah, we know you can go fast! We have seen some snow-kite amazingness http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-VyOSiTsL0

so yes, it is time for some buggy amazingness!

I made a weight shift crab buggy (proof of concept), mounted a seat sideways on a skateboard. Worked well in parking lots an on ice with blades. I'll email a pic. We named it the #@%$#!roach.

Yea Skye! Let's get on it!

For all that might be able to help:
Skye is no rookie to kites! He is a full fledged kite surfer with amazing skills, dealing with the biggest hurdle you can imagine. I'm not a buggy guy, but I know he'll find killer help here.
