I'm going to give it a try as my "small" TT . . .

Looks Like a great first board also - will be easy to learn to waterstart on.

Did you ever get a surf board? I got a North Whip 5'8" in the end. Only used it on flat (ish) water so far. Real different to the Twin tip.

looks good for the big riders go to for sure!

140x42(43) still my fav, slick bottom just has great range for the choppy light days or 30knts.

been on the strapless surfboard for a while , Firewire "sweet potato" 6'2" its been a blast fun and can get a fraction lighter wind days than my TT(size mentioned ) very stable, kicks around easy , its no race board but by far more fun.

libtech (surfboards) have this crazy tough board series , one is called the bowl, vert. and one more ..anyway thats up and coming in the KS scene. crazy build Al mesh, TOTALLY ding free coating. check it out

Looks like a good highwind board for me :(

Got a Slingshot Dialer 5'10" though - bit of a hoot, learning it strapless . . .

Cool - thats a nice looking Board.

I should probably have gone for the 5'6" but wanted plenty of bouyancy for lighter winds and smaller kites.

I have tried with and without straps and cant really decide. Even with the straps on my backfoot is out most of the time anyway.... They making swapping feet harder to learn also.

On the other hand i like jumping and like my board to come with me :)

Don't think my board - any surfboard - would survive me landing on it from any height . . .

Well my Origin arrived last week or so. Had 4 sessions on it, on the lake and once on the ocean.

Absolutely fantastic board. I used it today slightly under-powered on my 13m (!) in 10-15 knots, and last week in 30-40 on a 7m :o so I think I got a good feel of the range...

Does everything well!
Smooth ride through chop - even with 40 knots whipping the lake up.
Doesn't splash or squirt me in the face, or spray against my back-leg and slow me down. Important for me :D
Range is fantastic. Gets close to the Flydoor at the bottom end (it's almost as wide as the Flydoor2) and feels good to the top end of the kite. I could always edge against the kite, never got the run-away-train feeling like you can on a 'door.
Pops well, even though it feels soft under foot. Loads up and jumps easily too :)
Great price! $499, pads'n'straps included.
Pads are good on landings; soft and grippy. Not a huge fan of the straps... but that's a personal preference.
Carves on "waves" ok but it's no Mako.

So, it's a great all-rounder free-ride board! I like it even more, every time I ride it :D

nice, rail outline is slightly over looked by most. but when you find good shape the range certainly opens up, good flex for chop is hard to beat,..super stiff poppy board just wear you out faster and not so good for the knees!
good choice

my advice ..buy some blanks in the series you like ...because the lighter freestyle folks typically don't like these boards and disappear from the market
