I'd think that the best idea would be to come to WBB and try out both to get a feel of where you're most comfortable.

Seriously though, Twisted, a trip to Wildwood next month will put you together with some of the best riders/flyers I know. There's lots to be learned,
and someone always has available equipment they're willing to let others try. (And if not, hey, it's still one of the best flying areas I know!) Bring

but seriously if you made it to wildwood you would be able to try out these things & learn a ton about different kites, boards, buggies and any
other equipment you need....you can't put a price on that....then when you do buy...you at least know you purchased the right thing the 1st time
