I sold my buggy last month as I have no place to store it anymore and I was not using it very often at all.
As I added kite number 17 to the cupboard this week I asked myself if I really needed my fixed bridle quiver anymore since they mostly got used for
buggying.
I probably don't... I definately don't need my 4.7 rage. But I still like flying those kites when i do get them out. They just come out less often
these days...
What do you guys think? should I sell them on or hang on to them?

When I got to 21 decided I had to change my approach.
What I decided is that I will sell near equal value of kites each time I buy. I am down to 18 and have already had to let 1 or 2 go that I will miss.
Next purchase will be tough since I have no real desire to let anything I have go now?

Keep what you fly, let your other wings find a new home. They're having no fun in the closet.

At least some people have more kites than me...
I think I am going to start small and put the Rage up for sale & one of my land boards. I will see how painful it is and maybe move on to the
Twister. The Blade will be really tough to let go.
Keeping the Toxic and the Bullet :D

It's called hoarding
I got my first 3 kite quiver last fall. I only ever had a 2 kite quiver up until then and thought I would have trouble deciding what kite to rig with
a 3 kite quiver. Lucky I only ever use the 9m. :D
keep them

I'm glad I came across this thread because I have the same exact question to ask. I'm thinking of buying an HQ Apex or Ozone Access while at the same
time selling both my FB kites to make up for about half the cost of the depower. I believe I can sell both for a combined total of $500.

I would definately hang on to your 3m. its always good to have a small fixed bridle to give your friends a go and hopefully get them into kiting

I think you are on the right track with your thinking. I have two FB kites that could and go on to new homes too due to lack of use. My Twister 5.6
IIR would be one of them.
The problem I have found with my FB kites is that I tend to hold on to them for two reasons, first I enjoying kiting so much I always want to have the
perfect kite on hand so that about the only thing preventing me from optimal flying would be no wind at all. Second, I choose to keep several smaller
kites on hand for teaching purposes so if one gets damaged I can live with that outcome as one f my choice kites would not be affected. I have a
Hornet 2M, Rage 2.5M, Bullet 2.5M, and a DP Power 3.5M. With the exception of the Bullet I can use any one of these for teaching but mainly the Rage
and DP. So if the Rage and Twister are overlap for you or not used much then let them go to serve as a new kite fund when something else comes down
the road that you may really want.
BTW, I'm just like you- I will never part with my Bullet and I also have a landboard that needs a new home.

I'm looking for a 5.6 IIR. Let me know if anyone wants to let one go.
lives2fly - 7-10-2013 at 04:10 AM
Oh man that was harder than I thought. Got the 4.7 rage and 5.6 Twister + both my landboards for sale locally.
I will put them on here once I take a couple of pictures and my mates all get a chance to say no. Shipping might be a bit expensive for you guys in
the States though!

I figure if you haven't flown it in a year, sell it and stockpile the money to get something you really want. I just sold a bunch of my favorite arcs
to get a 6m Flysurfer and it wasn't too hard, but only because I had the new unity to salve my pain.

I'm promising myself an MBS Pro 90 when Both kites and boards have gone :D
