MBS Pro 90 *SOLD*

Smeagol - 16-10-2013 at 04:23 PM

Really hate to do this, but I have not used this board hardly at all over the past 8 months or so, so it's time to let some equipment go. I've literally rode this board like 50 ft. on grass and 0 feet on sand (hah) - so it's as close to new as you'll find on the used market. I also have a 2nd "beater" ATB now so there's no real need for two of these that I never use.

MBS Pro 90: Yes, this is the newest version of the Pro 90 with the wacky graphics. ;) Bamboo construction, ATS Pro (Ti Axle) Trucks, White Twistar Hubs, F4 Bindings... it is very nice.

I can get more pics if necessary. Comes with original manuals, tools, and some type of spares although we never did determine what they were.

$325 + shipping. U2U if interested.

SOLD

thanks,
Mike

This is at a pretty great price. Pro 90 is a great board. When I bought mine it was $600 CAD new.

so truly is it "that" much better that a Comp 95> I'd like the bigger board.

The Core 90 boards are where the corners are cost and performace left behind.

bindings and trucks seem to be about the same?

who has the dream board of mine, and what can you tell me about it ??

comp 95 and pro 90 are complete different boards for different purposes. Not sure why or what your posting here??

pro 90 is light and minimal in size to be used for kite jumping. The comp 95 is bigger, heavier and made for bombing hills.

For kiting the pro 90 is designed with kiting in mind, and serves that purpose best. It is way lighter, has more flex, and has more playful trucks. The narrow, short base makes it much more responsive, for hard stopping, sliding and turning. It's overall size, shape and weight, coupled with the handle, make this board much much more manageable with one hand while flying your kite with the other. The comp 95 is best suited for hill bombing IMO. with its longer, wider, and stiffer base and extra weight.

I would also note that the 90 is a narrower stance. While the board is kite-specific, it can be difficult for a newb to learn on a short wheelbase. I know every person I've introduced to the sport has been unable to ride my Prodigy90 but can get moving around on my AK105, because of the wider stance leading them to be more comfortable.

In your old age, when the knees and back are spent tired from years of abuse, a 95 cruiser sounds much more fun than a Porsche 911 turbo..............but still, I do like my 911 for the speed and light weight flickability.

Yeah, c'mon.. I know one of you guys wants this. ;)

Don't need another board at the present, but I can say that Mike is a great guy to deal with. He and I have bought and sold a fair amount of gear between ourselves in the last year and half or so, and everything I have ever received from him was either exactly as described or in better condition. New members shouldn't hesitate to deal with Mike.

I would love to buy it but snow already started flying so I am going to wait until spring to pick one up.

Thanks Jim.

Dropping it to $325.

This is essentially a brand new MBS Pro 90.

thx,
Mike
