Hi folks, you want to take the edge off the Peter Lynn CH1? I analyzed CH1 and CH2, found the differences, and wrote a cook book for CH1.9.
enjoy, tungsten

T,
you mention replacing the spars with bamboo cut to length.
Is there any reason not to use aluminum pipe in the same diameter as the original spars?

Suds, the bamboo spars are strong, flexy & cheap (1.95€ per 2m rod). That goes in their favor.
If you get your hands on good alloy tubes, try them by all means!

Thanks for all the hard work .
I am not handy with tread and needle but guess our sail shop would do this for under $100 ?
I took a different route and did a direct trade for a Synergy but that was before the newer arcs came out. + I found I like the way the Syn' performs.

Wow, that's a lot of work you have done. Congrats

I expect the prices for used CH1 to go up once the fix has been applied by the first couple ARC users. Hint hint. It's that good.
Yeah I guess a sail maker, or even better a parachute or glider repair shop would need 2 to 3 hours for that fix.
