What a great event!

shehatesmyhobbies - 20-10-2013 at 03:17 PM

Well, what can I say...... what a great event! Thanks to all you guys for helping make this an awesome event! I get a lot of thanks for the work I put into it, but without all of you guys and gals that come to the event, it wouldn't be what it is! We had around 60 buggy pilots, a few landboarders, and several family members at the event making for one great big happy family! The winds, well lets just say Mother Nature did her part for sure! Nothing better than entering the beach on a SE wind day and seeing 30-40 kites in the air at once and everyone sharing such a great time!

Again thanks everyone for making this a very special event! We always say that this was the best event, and for me it was, until the next one!

See you in April!

I will put up a new thread for pictures and videos! PLEASE SHARE! The one day I did take my GoPro out, I forgot to clear my card and only got 4 minutes of video.

So... If some of us bring our buggies inside the house and our wives/girlfriends trip over them or have to move it 100 times to the point of wanting to kill us...

Do you think just leaving the car packed with all my kites and buggy till April might get me thrown in the penalty box?

This was another epic event. Thanks to every one who made it special. And a big thanks to the organizers. We had a great time. And TheKidd was given a new nickname, TheTank!! Yup he broke his bullet proof VTT buggy clean in half. We will fix it this week. I think he needs to learn the limits of the machine and not of him!! But man did he go fast. And yes I am a proud father of that little guy.

Bruce just tell her how much every one LOVED your new panels. You'll be living in the car with all your kite gear:D

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D what else can I say. See everyone next year!

I got video to go through, might be a few days. But ,I will post it ALL up.

Thanks everyone for making it great ! And congrats to everyone for being safe the whole wknd. The only safety concern I had was the Blokart camp (complete with banner poles) right @ the edge of the "highway". What is up with that? We need to get them to move their camp back some.

It was a great time. All my thanks for the effort that went into organizing the whole thing. Everyone was so willing to help each other have a good time doing what they love. I know that I will be back.

What an incredible event....

there was buggy cake...

buggy pumpkins...

big ass buggy trailers...

wedding cake...

Some guy who loves his penis... :dunno:

But more importantly there was friends and wind.... Lots of good Winds, and good friends

I don't have any pics of the buggy action cuz I was having too much fun. End to end runs, onshore winds two days, offshore two days. Just incredible !! Partied with old friends and made some new. I had the best time ever

Flew Thursday night in the dark with the moon lit clouds, very cool! Friday flew all over the place , got a good feel for being back in the buggy. Saturday fast long runs and a fast axel length apart with overlaping kites run with the big dogs (thanks Claude,Donne,Todd and Dave , omg that was mad fun). Sunday rough offshore banging winds and blowing sand , reminded me of my usual winter flying , experience payed off , I stayed out of the ocean. What a great w/e to be on the beach at Wildwood! Thanks Rich and company for keeping it going and making it better every time we go!

So, what are ya saying?.....:lol:

It did'nt take long Sunday for at least 5 kites to get a saltwater bath. Rocfighter's Cameron had his kite in the waves upsidedown looking good to relaunch , I was thinking "that will work" a second later I'm thinking "oh dont do it , dont do it". He ended up wading in to pick it up, we got it emptied it out and safely relaunched. I told him to "stay away from the water , go over there and see if you can break your buggy in half." The KID is good , he can do anything sets out to do.

WELDNGOD - 25-10-2013 at 06:26 AM

I got my bath Friday on my FIRST run....:D

Thurday night riding was outstanding!

skimtwashington - 25-10-2013 at 06:30 AM

Winds were strong and riding was zippy.... under a full moonlight. A highlight of the bash for me.

Scott and Bruce seemed to be out the longest..and likely rode a couple of hours or more...? Quit at about 1:00 am.

Police drove on beach by water line and ignored us. In past folks were kicked off. Do we have a new carte blanche?

Another great event! Great winds, ear to ear grins, some bruised shins, let the next bash begin!

Well, I've been home for over a week now and the withdrawal is sinking in.
Wow, what a great time. People, food, riding/flying... Now the stories and pictures.
Josh said it best: If anything had been any different, it wouldn't have been as much fun.
Thanks to all of you!

hey Howard, did Josh see himself in my video..? I think you might also have a cameo. I hear you on the withdrawal. It's amazing how quickly you can get used to waking up and hitting the beach everyday...

shehatesmyhobbies - 29-10-2013 at 05:42 PM

Howard, it is great having your energy around. Glad we had some really nice conversations. And what can I say, Josh again was a ton of help and great to have around! See you guys in the spring

rocfighter - 30-10-2013 at 10:16 AM

I agree Josh is great to have around. He saw me fall int a deep puddle (over my tires) I thought was a shallow wash and his first response was to stop what he was doing and check if I was ok. This is a good person to have around when your having a good time or a tough time. Howard thanks for the good job your doing with your boy.
