Placing images and links in your signature?

Feyd - 19-11-2013 at 05:15 AM

My forum skills suck. I'd like to add an image or two to by sig and clean it up a bit, don't have a clue how. Probably right in front of my face but I don't see it.

If anyone has the kung fu skills to help me out I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

BAH! Okay Carl, I can see how to put text in but how'd you get the Peter Logo/link in there? I don't see any option for that kind of trickery. :D

Use the [img] tags and link to an image.

Damn, you dumb.

:D

Feyd - 19-11-2013 at 05:31 AM

Yes, yes I am.

Show me an example if you please.

Kamikuza - 19-11-2013 at 05:36 AM

BOOM!

Feyd - 19-11-2013 at 05:39 AM

Oh good lord man.

I don't need a visual, funny as it is.

I have no idea how to employ [img] tags.

Kamikuza - 19-11-2013 at 05:42 AM

Dude, don't tell me you just click the picture button and don't know what it does :o

[img] then add the url and close with [/img]

I would love to now how you decided to use this image of Willy Shatner and his perm. The thought process....

Based on what you're inllustrating here, this requires some flavor of 3rd party image hosting right?

Yes, but if you are commitment-phobic, just use TinyPic.com. You can sign up if you want, but it's not required. You can just upload a file, and it will give you a URL to reference your uploaded image.

I sometimes use it for quick & dirty/hit & run forum image links.

Sam

"Well... double-dumb ass on you!"
It's all part of the theme ;)

I'm just grabbing random images using http url - but if you want to use your own image you'll have to upload it somewhere...

Who attaches files, anyway?!?
