I know there are not a whole lot of folks who kite and/or buggy in Georgia, but has anyone ever buggied or kited at Ga Veterans State park on Lake
Blackshear? It has a nice big open field that looks to be an RC plane spot. It's not terribly far from me thought I might try it out some time.

spent a lifetime on lake blackshear. NEVER considered it kiteable. maybe winter with N/NW blast, nobody goes there during winter except for golf
and fishing. Several open fields everywhere no doubt!, wind would be sketch at best. OOBE field would be similar and better,, really would need
be watching weather to catch a ride, kinda hard to plan for sure.
i want to get access to HARRIS NECK airfield, but its overgrown with some strip space there but mother nature is taking it back...the wind there is
pretty decent similar to JI.
check abandon airfields, several in various overgrown states.. and access is limited but desire always makes way.

Thanks Phree,... Going to OOBE this Friday or Saturday, join in if you want.
Only abandoned airfield I've been to is Valley Airport right on the Ga, Al border off of I 85... I'll look into Harris neck.
