hubs

So I am uprading one of my boards and want to upgrade my mbs trispokes and I was thinking the new mbs rockstar II's, has anyone used them and how do they hold up to kiting. I am mostly worried that the side force will push the tire off the hub.

pretty rare, for any and all best i have seen, the only time i have seen it happen was the tire bead failure or sidewall/ bead failure. hub fx or bearing race grip are more common

what do you mean bead or side wall failure

That would be the parts that keep it on the hub. The tire is not going to come off the rim dude. Now go get yerself some trampa superstars and be done with it. Face it, GI is dead and MBS is playing second fiddle to trampa. $29 ea. http://www.trampaboards.com/superstar-hub--black-gloss-rim-w...

Physical tear, cut, rupture of the rubber material of the side of the tire either from damage or factory defect.

Other than that, you might skin your tire off the hub if you run the tire pressure dangerously low (read "WTF were you thinking" low) which would leave enough slack to deform the tire carcass enough to jump the lip of the hub. Running it that low would be fairly obvious as the ride would be noticeably .... wait for the scientific term.... squirrely.

The hub has to be split to mount the tire and inner tube. It's a big world, so nothing is impossible, but getting the tire to jump the lip of the hub would require you to do something incredibly stupid, awesomely impressive .... or both.

Something worthy of this:
