Back to my roots

I started my journey into the kiting world with a 2005 ozone frenzy 9.5m. I loved that kite, even as a newbie it was always manageable. I eventually sold it so that I could "upgrade" and I've never flown another open cell depower kite since.

I decided that I'd like to return to an open cell kite and needed some help. I weigh 200lbs without gear and am happiest in winds around 30km/h (18mph). I was thinking that something in the area of 10m would be most suitable. Being honest with my abilities and riding style, I'd like something aimed at the intermediate range.

The kites I'm drawn to are the ozone access 10m and the flysurfer outlaw 10m. Theres also the ozone frenzy, but it comes in odd sizes (9m and 11m) and I'm not sure I need such a technical kite. Would the FS outlaw be more comparable to the access, or the frenzy (or is it even more technical than the frenzy?). Its been on the market for 5 years with the design untouched, so either they feel it's THAT good, or they're in the process of redesigning it and I'd rather not track down an outlaw, only to have them release a newer version that is twice as good

Outlaw is closer to the Frenzy than the access. No more a technical kite though. We sold an Outlaw in SA to a student just recently and he loves it. He spends most time on Access and Apex kites but loves the Outlaw. I don't think you'll see a replacement outlaw anytime soon.

What kind of riding do you have?
