had a brain storm today and made up a prototype of a camera mount that needs to be flown. until I get outside in some wind all I can do is play around
with it, and it works so far.
here is a short video of what I have so far.
had some thoughts about welding...... never mind.dangerdan - 1-1-2014 at 06:01 PM

Looks like a good idea, but I'm having trouble telling exactly what it is. Is that a square piece of foam? More details my friend!!beachrights - 1-1-2014 at 07:39 PM
At 1st I thought this was some bad can-can dance with all the kite spinning! Looks like 1" Dow Pink Styro but how did he attach???..........hhhmmm?bigkid - 2-1-2014 at 12:57 AM
Barbie jeep? Rowen would have you know it is a Black Out SUV, and it is also an RC car much like http://www.amazon.com/HENES-Phantom-Battery-Operated-TECHNOL...
Dow Pink Styro? Yes, the rest of the parts are WELDING rods, vinyl hose, and a GoPro mount. After its maiden voyage and a few on purpose crashes, I
plan to swap out the WELDING rods for carbon fiber rods and the styro is replased with a plastic disc with adjustable rod ends.
As it is at this point it costs 45 bucks with the gopro mount being most of the cost. More to come :Dbigkid - 2-1-2014 at 01:25 AM
Cancan dancing? yes.Suds after thuds - 4-1-2014 at 01:40 PM

Where did you find a unit that can weld pink styro to a power kite ,very impressive my friend.:D
back in the day when I was production welding flat racks, the idiots who set up the parts and assembled the racks thought they would see how good I
was. Some of the 7 inch gaps were a piece of cake, hadd to change out the 50 lb wire spools way to many times a day but the word got out that "if you
can step acrossed it, Jeff can weld it".
So my fine friend, with a small squirt of styro glue anything is possible.
I used welding rod to connect the styro to the bridle tabs. I also used vinyl tubing to connect the tabs and cover the ends. Tomorrow the wind is
going to blow so I will get a vid or 2 and post the results and a bit about the mount itself, got a few ideas for improvement already
