Hmm, I wonder if the back slides out a lot more when powered up?

That's really cool looking!!!

Slick looking !

I wonder what it will do better ? What it might not do as well ?

He was smart in not showing the steering mechanism in the pictures.
I enlarge the pictures and had a closer look, I think I would like to ride in this. It looks much simpler, building wise, then a regular buggy. looks like the steering mechanism is on a pivot for the feet.
As he said, it was for fun.... I agree.

A few of his design ideas are rather unique, and I might have to steel a couple of those. I actually like this better than a carbon fiber buggy.

Quite a few of these ideas from this buggy could revolutionize the tandem ride buggy.

With this being a first poke at the idea, I'm sure it raises lots of questions and instead of being finished, settles the dust on the idea to tweak and adjust for optimization.

I too wondered about the back end not having enough traction. The balance point is probably different than for a traditional geometry buggy. It looks like it would be really prone to bump steer where if you hit something with one wheel, it would steer the buggy in that direction. It looks like the wheels have a mechanical advantage over the steering footrests.

The first ride exposes any problems and dictates the next advancement to solve the worst of issues. I'd love to be able to test it out on the lakebed and be part of the tweaking process.

Yea, let's see some video!

I have seen a few videos where someone is going backwards on a regular buggy, would this not be the same with the MG except your going forward ??.
I hope I explained that correctly

Almost everything would be different because of weight distribution, and the wheels that steer.

now the thought of going backwards in the MG has to be a bit more of a skill?
Would be much harder to lock your knees and hold the wheel(s) strait.
Would be a great Kodak moment. Backwards in a frontward buggy going frontwards but really doing it backwards, hahaha, I got to ride this thing.

I can't quite wrap my head around all that Jeff! I imagine that lack of leverage on the steering tires would be a first weakness to eliminate.

I have been working on my buggying backwards and right off the bat I find out the bigger the buggy the harder it is to pull it off. The smaller, shorter bugs dont react to the extreme like the big ones. And to add to the cofusion, some are easier than others.
Lock the knees against the down tube and make VERY small moves to turn. Dont think about turning because its backwards from going forward.

Now add the fact that your feet and your legs are not spred apart at all which is not a normal feeling let alone comfortable, reminds me of riding a full dress motorcycle and then jumping on a 25cc scooter with your feet on the floor infront of the seat. JUST WRONG.
I still want to take it for a ride, should be a blast.

Any chance the new bug can make it to IBB? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.:saint:
