... I am so happy I hold on my purchase of Soloshot ...
New version got all those things that I really was hoping for ...
... pan .... tilt .... and zooooom !!!!!!
I don't see list of compatible cameras for zooming , but offered package with Sony camcorder is only $200 more ....
I think I am ready to become Soloshot user ....

#@%$#!- i just got the one and a nice new camcorder and then technology makes my brand new purchase old. Well looks like it is in preorder so will have to wait and see- I really like the idea of the auto tilt but what i have found with the limited use of mine is that in order for it to track smoothly you need to be 25+ feet away and so the tilt is not that important since i am not jumping 20+ feet in the air. Look forward to hearing about the upgrades when you get it konrad. As for me I guess i am stuck with my simple panning and wifi enabled panasonic camcorder (can set the zoom from my phone  )

This sounds like "OLD" technology .....a camera that follows and films you while you are not there and that you can enable through your "OLD" phone to record and zoom....

Good thing you can still tie the horse up to the hitching post while your out on your buggy kiting...:lol:

thought I was the only one that ever happens to. Glad I am still looking and waiting for something like this. When it is able to record sound/voice it will be just what I want.

Wasn't solo shot 1 just out a couple months ago?
This thing is pretty neat! I thought it tracked your image but watching the promo vid it uses a transceiver, and can even hand off between multiple riders, awesome!!

Bigkid, this is just a mount, you can put your own cam on and I'm sure there is a readily available wireless mic option for camcorders.
Or you could just mic yourself and dub it in.

Original soloshot is more the year old . 2 guys who start this company did each unit by hand . Now they have 15 people working for them and product is more and more visible on internet and sport events . Added tilt is nice for jumps .... but it also will help when making films in terrain . Snowkiting up hill , buggy on dunes , mounting sensor on you kite for camera to fallow your kite movements .
Sound is recorded by any camera and as above suggested you can always add wireless mic . Mulitiperson targeting is also awesome . If you are riding with your friend you can set camera to record closest rider ... very cool ... If I will get this unit it will be perfect tool to use at WBB ... Mount it on buggy and put sensor on you friend .... then go together for a ride .... There is so many possibilities ... I am so excited .... problem is .... santa is not coming back anytime soon ....

Figures....ah well...use what I got! Right? Ya'll can keep waiting for the next version (and saving up for the price increase)... :P

bigkid - 10-1-2014 at 07:39 PM

No word on delivery of the SS2, but worked out a deal with Mountains Plus for the SoloShot at $249.00 plus tax. Not to bad a price.

Update,
finally got ahold of solo shot and they said the target date for release of the soloshot 2 is the end of the March. That is when they will send out the product to all those that pre ordered. Then they will go on sale on the website for the rest of the people. So the emphasis is on the target date for release, end of March.

Think the real date will be a bit farther out than that.
