The clouds were pretty that day. Rather bizarre kite collapse at 2:00:o

Nice big spot ..... I am always jealous when I see open space like this .... I am limited to very few small fields here in NJ ...... Clouds look nice with kite cutting thru the sky ... Congrats on first video ..

The wind in your video has vortices mixed in with the gusts , most likely little vertical tornados coming thru , not a real lift component but something that will whack the backside of the kite and mess you up if you zoom on by and the kite lights up somewhat behind you. You look good for flying in crappy wind!

Yeah Denver is know for wacky wind, you kinda get used to it. Earlier in the day an 8 m flysurfer that I was trying out tossed me bad. Thanks All.:bird:

That's a familiar looking kite. Glad to see it being flown!

Hello,

Why did you loop kite when you started ride to left. I have small kite( beamer 5 m) can I try this method Because I have power problem, especially starting to ride

emir-loops generate power, and he most likely needed it, that's my best guess! Yes, you should try looping it in the direction you are wanting to travel to get some power going in that direction. Just be prepared for a strong pull!

propylne- good flying in our shifty winds! that park is tough in most wind directions. good job!

kober- we may have a bit more space than you but you have 100% higher chance of stable winds, every session here is very variable!

propylene22 - 10-7-2014 at 01:32 PM

Erratic, You are a local Denver flyer? Do I know you?

propylene22 - 10-7-2014 at 01:36 PM

Emir,
I am fairly heavy 220 pounds aprox and riding in grass is like velcro. The downloop gets me moving and creating apparent wind, kinda like popping out of the water when waterskiing or kitesurfing. We can't fly heavily overpowered here due to the variability of the wind. Plus I like to go fast. :D
