Snowkiting halfway around the globe.

Just wanted to give a shout out and congrats to Jim Cline. Most have never heard of Jim, he's a local snowkiter that we refer to as the "Long Hauler'. We got him into kiting about 8 years ago and he's gone totally nuts with it.

Most of our local snowkite community keep tabs on their riding. Logs and such, and Jim has had seasons where he's logged 3000 miles in a single season.

Yesterday he hit 1000 miles for this season. We're still in January. More impressive is he the fact that in his quest for snowkite mileage he's surpassed 12450 miles total recorded miles.

Half way around the world.

Jim doesn't go on line. He's not messing around in forums and he will never see this. But the guy is in his 60's and a damn machine out on the ice.

I just wanted to share his achievement. -Chris

Amazing ... 3000 miles ... very impressive ... I need to stop complaining about pain after long sessions and take this guy as example.
... Congrats Jim .....

I probably wouldn't either if there were others in my immediate vicinity, but I need the forum to validate my crazy obsession.

That's crazy impressive!! Now only if I could find a way to not work and still make money, I could kite everyday of the week:P
