Carving a Turn

How do you carve a turn using skates with only two wheels? It shouldn't work, should it?

I find that when I lean my skates they just carry on in a straight line. I offset the front wheel to the inside rail and the back wheel to the outside rail, so there is about an inch of lateral separation between the wheels, but the only way I have found to turn so far is by stepping.

Offsetting the front and back axles is just to help the skates maintain a straight line against the sideways pull of the kite. It is possible to carve a slight turn when not under power, but this turn is more like carving a turn with skis.

Stepping of the front wheels is the only way to turn in a small radius (less than 40 ft).
