new snake skins

dirtslide - 5-2-2014 at 06:35 PM

Just ordered three of the new 17x3 inch tires from Sysmic .They are slicks and have some anti dust penetration properties that they have been working on. Hope they make it hear before IB2 so we can see what they are all about. check them out at buggy Kite Shop UK for more info .

Those reAlly look nice. Can't wait to see them.

They are nice slicks

Little tough to get air in though... and once they were inflated a couple of the beads did not seat properly the first time. Lots of lube and pressure did the trick:thumbup:

Putting on the tires you guys took off were the same way. Lots of dish soap and a big blast of air.
The tire guage hit 180lbs before the bead finally popped. Good thing the tire was rated at 32lbs.:o
I'll find a good home for the 3 tires you took off.:D

Have you even put those wheels on your bug yet?

Maybe Ken will have to put the old tires back on after a trip to Ivanpah:evil:

:o hope not they were close to 100$ each with the cost of shipping them over. I'm just a cruiser anyway so they should last.
Thanks Ron for help ,they look perfect with the covers on and bolted up to the buggy . I will have a picture up on here tomorrow.

Your going to like the ride with those wheels and tires.
how wide are those tires? Is there a size on the side of the tire? Or are they just blank?
You might be able to buggy the beach with those. Almost as wide as the other guys beach wheel/tire setup. With those tires and wheels, the cost is still less than the others by 500 bucks.
may have to steal a ride and try them out.

They have 17x3 on the outside as well as the manufactures name Innova for sysmic on the across side from the size. The buggy will be hanging around your camp so yes I encourage you to use it like it WAS yours lol. I would like your opinion on these tires. I have been in contact with Chris at Buggy Kite Shop ,with questions about how they will work on a dry lake and he assured me that they will hold up but I think it would be at the pilots discretion if they would last or not. We would need a truck load of them to be able to really test them with a rider like Eli.:D
