Harness practice

Just a static session getting used to being harnessed. Winds were 8-10 mph and negative 8 windchill. I can't think of anything better to do when it gets that cold.

Sorry for torturing you with youtube editor music. I thought it was a good idea at the time but I changed my mind and removed it.

Prepare yourself for weight gain. :D

That's what happened to me when I stopped using my arms. I need to lose some weight but find the idea of exercise boring and monotonous. Now it's occurred to me that flying static without a harness would be a good fun workout...come spring.

So, how are you finding the harness ?

Hey RedSky, It's funny you mention exorcise. I started flying power kites last summer for a way to trick myself into exorcising and now I'm making it less work by flying on a harness. I guess I'll need to fly without one once in awhile to stay in shape. By the way, I think I was watching some of your youtube videos before I realized it was you. Are you the one that was kiting on a bmx bike? That looked like that would be plenty of exorcise. If so, that's an impressive video along with the high speed buggy videos. As far as how I'm doing with the harness; I really like it for a lot of reasons. When its cold out my hands don't freeze as bad because there is not as much pressure on them. I feel like I can hold a little more power back in a more controlled way with better control of the brakes (of coarse that's a double edged sword as it is harder to escape the kite since I can't just let go of the handles). Overall I'm just enjoying a new way to fly my kites for now.
