Power Kite Forum

Greetings from the Highlands of Virginia

After ghosting this forum on & off for a year and a half I finally decided to join this afternoon. I am pursuing my long time dream of learning to kite buggy. Not too much kite activity here in the mountains of Virginia so I am almost always flying solo. I have a broad interest in kites of all types & continue to expand my experience. Thank you one & all for providing a beginner with guidance & wisdom from the field. You never know what you might post that will be a great help to fliers that never post a question or comment. I am active in a few other kite related forums using the same name. Hope to meet some of you someday flying & smiling.

You are in good company. Many of the folks on here come from a stunt / Rev background .

You will find lots of folks of like mind willing to help you out online if not in person.

Would have loved to have tried my little buggy in Green Hill Park today. Had to stay at home so I did some line equalization chores I had been needing to do. I have a new Power Blast 4-8 on the way for use as a buggy engine. Already have the 2-4 and a couple foils. My goal is to do it with Rev power but I am open to anything in kites.

Welcome aboard! What a beautiful area you live in, a true outdoor paradise.

I know what you mean about being one of one when it comes to kiting in an area. I've brought a handful of friends into it, some of whom with their own gear now but if I want to advance my own skills it's still up to me.
Nice buggy you have there, I'm still learning on mine. I mostly got started with delta wing stunt kites but would love to have a Rev one of these days. I missed out a few of months ago on a couple in our For Sale section.
Good luck to you with the power kite progression, and don't be a stranger 'round here.
