After taking these pictures I must say that the fabric on these kites is in better shape than all of my LEIs hands down even if the LEIs are newer.

I'd be interested in the 10m if you can sell it without the bar and lines. I have a large and small NAV bar already.elnica - 3-3-2014 at 11:30 AM
Id really like to sell them as a package since I don't have a use for the NAV bar without the 10m syn. Maybe someone else is interested in the Nav bar
alone?
$300 for just the 10m - shipped conUS

15m Synergy is my go to kite .
It delivers power very early since it can be flown / turned fast. It's top end is amazing. I am small and slightly wimpy and yet I can still fly it
into the 20's and feel safe.
I don't get as much use out of my 10m simply because we don't get strong winds often but it is a sweet ride as well.
Pretty much a 2 kite quiver ! 5 to 35mph !Kober - 5-3-2014 at 10:02 PM

This package is a steal! Just the air blower with the 2 batteries cost almost $125 right now on amazon:

I have a 9m Slingshot Fuel but it's not doing the best in my 16-18mph wind range.
I am 175lbs.
Would you recommend this for me for landboarding?
PS I have never flown an ARC. How does it compare to a LEI and would I need a new bar?elnica - 18-4-2014 at 07:06 PM
Hi Drew. The synergy is a great kite for landboarding. I dont like it for water but many people do. Those winds seem ideal for it with plenty of room
up and down. It will fly on a compstick slingshot bar, not on the old pulley bar though. I was using a 23" x 27m slingshot compstick bar, which is
quite bigger for faster turning and the longer lines also let the kite open up more. You probably have a 20" x 23m bar/line set? If so, it will fly on
it but to get what the kite has to offer you are better off with a bigger bar and longer lines. As long as the bar is a front line safety that freely
slides on a single line (like the compstick), it will allow the kite to fully flatten out loosing all power.
Arcs are very different than Leis and bridled foils. When you let go of the bar it goes up to 12 (auto zenith) rather than down to the ground.
Launching and landing is also different. There are good youtube videos that explain the techniques. When riding, instead in constantly steering the
kite up (lei) you steer the kite down (arc). You can change the aggresiveness of the autozenith but I didnt experiment much with the many settings
this kite has. Thata another difference with leis, arcs are much more customizable.BeamerBob - 18-4-2014 at 07:54 PM
I'm about 230 lbs and rode my 15 Syn on water up to about 28 mph winds and I was just starting to feel well powered. I'm certain my top end with that
kite was over 30 mph winds which is incredible for the size it is. Those days at Canadian Hole, I was riding with several dozen other guys riding
mostly 9m LEIs. I enjoyed the 15 very much in the buggy in more tame winds. I would agree that 16-18 would be a sweet spot on land.Bladerunner - 19-4-2014 at 09:24 AM
Drew,
I like my 15 on a long bar and I suspect the bar with your Ranger is medium or small ? It will work but not be ideal.
I am not certain but think the Ranger bar may also have a short travel on the trim ?
I haven't taken my Synergy out on water but can hold it down into the 20's easy on land. ( I am much smaller than Bob ) It is one kite I actually feel
comfortable under at it's limits.
Synergy flies a lot different that LEI but in ways I really like. It is a very forgiving kite with a strong ( adjustable ) auto zenith . If I ask it
to go big it is like I get a second to change my mind ? If I stick with it the kite lights up and away I go !!! Similar after I have made a mistake.
The kite takes care of itself while I gather myself and get back on it. Lose it in the wrong spot and I will go for a long drag but it doesn't choose
to send me into the air on it's own. Just sits at the edge waiting for you to get back on it or slowly drag me as it heads up to zenith.
For such a simple looking kite it is amazing how adjustable it is. 2 adjustable straps inside the kite change bar pressure, grunt, forward speed and
turning speed. You can also change the feel + auto zenith at the VPC on the bridle.
I also agree that at 16 - 18mph this kite is into it's sweet spot. With lots of room for gusts or more smooth wind. If you find overlap with your 9 it
will be because the Synergy has such a good top end. carltb - 20-4-2014 at 04:27 AM
if you was in the UK I could get you a buyer for these Feyd - 20-4-2014 at 05:33 AM
I missed something here. Drew has a Fuel but I didn't see a mention of a Ranger.
If he does have a Ranger and it was a 12m and not one of the BC.com Rangers it will have a long bar. The throw on the ranger bar is plenty long with
a below bar trim. The only issue would be the safety system. The stock Ranger safety is barely a safety at all if you don't ad a 4.5 line and it
isn't designed to work in a flag out situation the way arcs are set up.
It could easily be modded but it won't be a great choice stock. The chicken loop assembly has a guide for a 5th line so you could set it up nice for
an arc. The stopper on the Ranger bar works awesome.
15m Syns are sweet sweet kites. Bladerunner - 20-4-2014 at 08:57 AM
OOPS !
I am not certain how I decided Drew had a Ranger ? XdisasterXdrewX - 20-4-2014 at 10:10 AM
Yeah I have a 9m fuel not a ranger hahaha.
I am pretty sure my bar is short but it's for a 2006 fuel. Do you think it would work for now until I hav get another bar?Feyd - 22-4-2014 at 04:51 PM
It will likely work. May need some slight modification. The length won't be a major issue especially with the VPC. Older Arcs would be a lot more
work.elnica - 28-4-2014 at 09:50 AM
Hey Drew. Still interested? I just got back home from an awesome week kiting in OBX and could ship it asap if you want it. elnica - 6-5-2014 at 01:20 PM
Bump! someone please take this kite!SpecialK - 6-5-2014 at 02:51 PM
Hmm.. I might be interested... I'm eventually going to be looking for a lower wind kite than the Venom 13 I recently purchased...
http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/mx5alan/arcs/wind_range.htm says that its good for landboarding down to 5.. And yet when I look at the projected area,
it's not much more than my V13. How do these two pieces of info square with each-other?
The V13 and Syn 15 are very similar in range, the syn 15 turns faster so you can get more power and lift out of it. The syn 15 would be a good kite to
upgrade to from the v13 if that is too slow for you but it wouldn't expand your range much.SpecialK - 6-5-2014 at 09:34 PM
Thanks for the honest answer. I'm pretty happy with my v13 now so I'll keep waiting for a better light wind option. I hope someone picks this up
soon! elnica - 23-6-2014 at 12:52 PM
15m still available. propylene22 - 11-7-2014 at 10:15 AM
Are the synergy 5th line or flag out of some kind? I have an old ozone bar, might that work? BeamerBob - 11-7-2014 at 10:50 AM
Synergy needs to flag on a single front or rear line.
