For many people that visit Ivanpah, they don't realize how close they are to one of the best kite surfing locations in the US. If you have never tried
kite surfing and would like to or you just would like to see water in the desert for a change, we will be gathering at Lake Mohave in 6 Mile Cove for
a few days prior to the event. Come get wet and enjoy a refreshing dip before covering yourself in dust for a week!
We will arrive there on March 29th and staying till 31st. Then we will head over the mountain to Ivanpah through a beautiful Joshua Tree preserve.
This will take you through Nipton, Ca and meets up with I 15. Total time from Playa to Playa is 1 hour.
For those who knew Charles Jackson, this was his favorite place to visit when he would come out to Ivanpah. I'm dedicating this trip to him! Rest in

I wish this was a post event rinse trip, no way I can make it before and stay the whole week for IBB.

Not sure when I'll get there yet, but I've packed my gear! I'm going to bring 1 twintip and leave the surfboard at home, thought if anyone is
bringing a strapless I'd love to hop on 
I also blew up my 12m in Maui :/ Looking for a replacement.
