Flexifoil Blade V 6.5 Sold

BeamerBob - 17-3-2014 at 05:27 PM

I bought this a year ago and sadly it's still in the bag. I don't see that changing so it needs to go to a new home. This kite is as new as new can be. You can be the first to unfold it out of the bag. If you are qualified and want to jump, this is the kite you must have. Kite and bag as it comes from the factory.

$450 shipped 48 states.

Yes, this kite is not for someone without experience flying an aggressive lifty kite. This kite is not a monster though. It's still one of the finest flying kites I've ever flown. I've heard that it has been difficult (impossible) to get these from the factory for many months now. I'm not sure there are any new ones for sale in the US right now.

Don't fear the kite, fear the conditions. I have the BIII and it is docile in winds 7 and under. 8 to 12 steady to semi steady winds It's great fun. Above that would still be manageable as long as it's not gusty or if your on a beach where you can slide easier. (I fly on grass)

Edit: I was talking about flying static. I've only buggied with it a couple of times and still figuring out what my target wind range is for it.

I found with my Blade IV 6.5m, that 12-14 was the magic zone for jumping. If you wanted more risk/reward, you could fly it in up to 19-20 mph. If the winds were 6-9 mph, I could hand it to my kids that had experience and skill and they could have a good time with it because it was so predictable. Like Ssayre says, choosing the conditions is key to whether you have a good time or try to survive.

Bob, call me if this is still available. I may have a use for it.
