NAPKA number sets

MyAikenCheeks - 17-3-2014 at 08:03 PM

If any one needs official size NAPKA numbers I can supply you with a number kit to be in compliance.

The kit; 3 sets of 5.5 inches high and 2 inches in width, using a .75 inch letter stripe width, using font Helvetica. In addition to this, 3 white backgrounds so as to be used on colored plates. But wait there's more... a pair of helmet sized numbers with white backgrounds if using on dark helmets.

These are high quality vinyl, peel and stick. U.S. postage paid.
Credit card over phone or PayPal.
$20.00 a set.
U2U me for phone number and payment details.
Wear your numbers with pride!

It seems I paid over $30 at Fastsigns for mine. It's great to be able to do business with a fellow kiter.

This is a great deal, even a better deal if you receive it before you leave for Ivanpah.

Now for the placards. :D

Wow Davis, great deal, however working off of this notion:

Just a side note to the reference above. If your plates don't adhere to the rather strict guidelines, don't fret. The only real requirement is that your number is legible from a reasonable distance. Artistry is never discouraged. T-minus 14 days till arrival and counting :)

(This is from 3shots thread earlier this week)

I'm going a different route

Resurecting a very old thread. Where does everybody get their vinyl stick on letters?
I bought some at staples. They are the correct height but way too wide.
U2U'd MyAiken but have not heard back from him.
Thanks

I am pretty sure Davis lost the login credentials for that profile and is now using the username D Cheek

D Cheek - 11-3-2018 at 09:48 AM

Thanks for the plug. Still in the sign biz. My 32 year.
I will still do the # sets for the same price. What a deal!
If you want anything different no problem.
Just u2u me or call 803-443-2177 anytime.

Got the package with the numbers from D Cheek today and they are perfect. Nice heavy duty vinyl and very easy to apply. About 10 minutes and old numbers were off the signs and the new ones are on.
Also D Cheek put a bunch of other goodies with the numbers. Got some nice WBB stickers now, that I have to figure out where to apply.

Thanks D Cheek

Anyone know where else I can get the regulation number set? :dunno:

Randy - 22-1-2020 at 01:04 PM

Ed,

First, you don't need numbers for JIBE. Your NAPKA ID card is all you need. I've never had numbers on my buggy. Probably you would only need numbers for a NAPKA sanctioned race. Second, Cheeks doesn't check in that often, but he usually does before JIBE, and has been coming to JIBE with the event t-shirts and other cool stuff. So you can probably get the numbers then if you don't mind waiting a bit.

Thanks Randy, I wish I'd known. I have the plates and straps for the project.
No need to display numbers? I say leave well alone.

Now about this card. I have an email confirming my membership. but no card?
I'll email about this. Thanks Randy. Saw the latest vid. We do nasas differently, you and i.

Yeah I'm US182 but haven't received a card either. But I was told it'd be when they made the next batch.

As far as number plates, I am going to check with the exact wording in our rules and regulations. I prefer them be displayed as to make it easier to quickly identify a number from a distance if needed. I don't push for exact size but more from noticeable from a decent distance. As for the cards, I have to purchase a new machine to make cards, they will be more like a credit card size plastic card with the same info. I don't have access to the other machine as of now. The website has also been moved and lots of work in the near future on the site. I will be making a post in the NAPKA subsection on this forum to address some of the upcoming changes and website issues we have had.
