Who gets the flying dream ?

I suspect I am not the only one who grew up flying in my dreams.

Crazy but as I got older pesky power lines or a ceiling always get in the way of just soaring?

It is a common dream I understand. Who gets it and did it change as you got older ?

My son says he want to fly a jet back pack when he grows up. Ever since a child, in my flying dreams I could never control direction or get up over the power lines. Fortunately I don't get those these days.

Had lots of them - most of them only happen when I'm aware (lucid) that I'm dreaming. One of my favs was when I was about 800 feet up and soaring around some waterspouts out on the ocean. Seems like the older I get, the harder it is to get airborn though...:Ange09:

I have momentum flying dreams. Riding a bike or motorcycle and on a road that has humps in it. I start leaving the ground and each hump throws me higher and longer in the air. Also the ropeswing that is like a bungee cord and I'm zinging back and forth across this same valley every time. Whatever is happening to me continues with no loss of energy and it is always a fun ride.

I used to lucid dream almost at will. I remember one night going to sleep thinking I will dream about going skiing. I spent the whole night going skiing in my dream but never actually got to ski . I have lost a lot of the control of lucid dreams as I've grown.

I was supposed to have my personal jet pack by now ! :mad:
