Hi, after being away from the sport for a while, I've decided to get back into it. I
This time I'm getting into bugging aS I'm looking for the next step up from static flying, and want to build a quiver of fixed bridles that will get
me out in most conditions
What kite sizes are essential for a quiver?
I currently own a Bullet 2.5 which serves me well, but have been considering possibly adding a 3.5 and 5 (possibly blur)...? Would a 7m be necessary.?
Also I have seen that flexifoil have an upcoming sale. Would you recommend buying new through this, I have never really considered the other brands
but would be interested if it could save me some cash
Also, is the rage sufficient for bugging? Or am I better off paying the extra for a blurr? Plus what would you say about using a blade for bugging..?
It's one of those kites I've just always wanted to own
Also i am wanting to get into kitesurfing, can LEI be used for buggying or am I better off saving that thought for another day and sticking to FB

hi Cnr short story..i would buy the 3.5 next..ok go

LEI can certainly be used for buggying, but it may not take as much abuse while you learn to buggy as a foil will. If you were thinking about depower
for the buggy, I would say look into either a foil or an ARC.

Yes, you will probably eventually want a 7.
New on sale is good but second hand is often cheaper.
LEI work well with buggy once you can fly them and not crash. You may or may not sell off a FB once you go LEI and out on the water but foils will be
better for you right now.

you know you want that 3.5 Bullet..the colors you picked out are probably sick..and that crisp kite feel nothing quite like it..it may become your go
to or soul mate foil know what i'm saying?..anyway you will own like 30 more kite before you die, dp,fb all sorts.. someday you will have 21m above
you it's gonna be insane:D..get the 3.5 you need it ..buy that blade next month you deserve it..month latter get the 7 or a 5 eiteher one your
call..all good can't have a wrong kite just could be flying the wrong kite for the conditions..hey got that bug yet??

Jesus abkayak you sound like a drug dealer... You are the little devil on his shoulder whispering in his ear, lol!

i just call it like i see it

Abkayak speaks the truth, join the rest of us and give in to your kitely desires. You will want kites ranging from what you have to 8 meter-ish range
if you stay fb.
Cnr500 - 20-3-2014 at 09:13 AM
Yes I think I am going to stick to FB at the moment, and think I'm going to aim for something around the 5m mark, would you reccomend the blur over
the rage? Also what other kites can be considered comparable to a blurr?

OP.you could even buy a 4.5 bullet to fill the lower wind days. I found the 2.5 and 4.5 gave me the best riding opportunities with the least amount of
kites. Then you could grab the 3.5 and 7m after that. Just a thought..
You can probably get them on the cheap right here. Just post a wanted and see what rolls in.
Dang. I just sold my 4.5 Bullet yesterday too. I could have hooked you up good!
Really hard to go wrong with the all purpose Rage too. Great buggy engine. A couple people have picked them up on the real cheap lately through sales.

you really should have ordered something by now...truth is we don’t know what conditions you are most likely to be flying in..wind speed, field, hard
or soft beach?? all matters for proper quiver...imo the 2.5 will be a bit small for the bug and you will want the 3.5 now ..it could have been a 3 and
been one kite but this is where we are...and 3shot this has nothing to do about the least amount of kites..nobody wants the least just the next...oh
yea love my 3.5 Bullet

Thanks for all the replies guys, think your right about looking at something around the 4.5 mark.
I'm based in Skegness Lincolnshire uk, so would be on the beach
Would a rage be a sufficient buggy engine.? I suppose I always sort of presumed they would be a static kite.? Cheers

On the beach??? A rage will haul you pretty darn good!! A 3.5 will scoot my 200 lb butt pretty good in 15mph winds! The 1.8 does real well too in
20+ winds! I would love a Rage 4.7 to round out the Rage quiver too. You can find killer deals in the UK on Flexi.
As far as abkayak goes, he has helped more than one person spend their money. As a matter of fact, his first post to me over a year ago was something
like this: "Hi. Welcome. Say good by to all your money from here on out". LMAO
9 kites later, here I am.... and another one the way veeery soon....
Never met him yet, but I love him already!!
