we had a surface melt and was hoping for softer ice but temperatures dropped with higher gusty winds and the ice was harder and a bit rough. I ran
over to the small lake near my house for a late day session and one of the first little runs caught a gust and started to speed up then just lost my
edges and went for a nice little ass slide on the ice - good thing it wan't any rougher (the slide lasts from 0:12 to 0:26) snowspider - 21-3-2014 at 04:59 AM
I've gotten in the habit of putting on my hip/butt pad shorts (I think they are for baseball players), my bony hips and arse dont like banging across
the ice. My highest recorded butt scud is 20mph.markite - 21-3-2014 at 05:31 AM
I was wearing thinner pants too instead of the lined snowboard pants - I'm feeling it this morning, yup that's a nice ice rash. But still not as bad
as Scott has done. Cheddarhead - 21-3-2014 at 04:37 PM
We have similiar ice conditions at the moment. Knee pads and crash shorts are def in the arsenal for the real hard stuff
