From the New Yorker! What were we thinking, considering the one 3000 miles closer! :D

The UK is probably a safe bet, BUT....

1 place in the UK named Bristol.
1 in Barbados
1 in Costa Rica
1 in Jamaica
1 in Peru
2 in Canada
29 :o in the United States

The notion of being full of oneself vs percentages is kind of ironic.

If you're into that kind of stuff. ;)

ATB,
Sam

Now I DO feel full of myself for assuming the one near where I grew up! I had no idea there were so many.

I've been down State street many times. One foot in VA and the other in TN. Kinda cool!

riffclown - 26-3-2014 at 04:21 PM

It's kind of hard to read the accent or we would have known right away.....

cheezycheese - 26-3-2014 at 04:28 PM

I gotta back my fellow New Yorkers play. Here's 10 virtual bucks on the U.K.

abkayak - 26-3-2014 at 04:45 PM

Can't argue with this logic.. +1

soliver - 26-3-2014 at 05:39 PM

It's ok. Bobby, I immediately thought Tennessee too,... Though I'm originally from Memphis...

Fun factoid about Tennessee: As the crow flies, it is a farther distance from Memphis, TN to Bristol, TN than it is from Bristol, TN to Canada. At least that's what I always heard growing up, it may not necessarily be true now that I've looked at Google maps.

Dude I love your one liners!! LOL

Proletariat - 26-3-2014 at 08:24 PM

Um... I think there is also a Bristol, CT and a Bristol, VT, but I gotta go with UK here.... Just playing the odds.

RedSky - 26-3-2014 at 08:46 PM

Ah Tennessee. Distant memories of driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway and dropping down into TN before heading south to Mississippi.

I'd like to place a bet too. In his first post he mentioned living in Weston-super-Mare and unless there's one of those in Tennessee... :P

Proletariat - 27-3-2014 at 10:44 AM

I'd also like to throw $10 on the we-will-never-again-hear-from-Poorly1211-because-we're-weird" bet. :)

KYTE SLINGER - 27-3-2014 at 01:55 PM

B-Bob

I moving to HUGE town called Chaple Hill

Population in 2012: 1,449

hope its windy:lol:

BeamerBob - 27-3-2014 at 02:40 PM

You will at least be close to Nashville for large town stuff. My son Wexler lives in Nashville and works in Franklin. I have cousins and an aunt that live in Franklin as well. It will be different but that area is really a nice place to live.

soliver - 28-3-2014 at 04:04 PM

I grew up just outside Memphis and have passed through and had plenty of friends in the Nashville and Murfreesboro area. I think AnnieO lives around there. It's a great place, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

cheezycheese - 28-3-2014 at 04:08 PM

Man, talk about a hijacked thread...:lol:

Bladerunner - 28-3-2014 at 04:18 PM

Lets not forget Bristol Quebec EH ! :smug:

soliver - 28-3-2014 at 05:14 PM

Yeah I was kinda thinking that as I was typing... But eh.... Whatever.

So does anyone live near Bristol,... uh you know Bristol? Pretty sure he's across the pond. Saw another post where he says he's in "Weston Super Mare"
