Just seen these two very different buggy's forsale on eBay, both on the same page.
I'm not sure which one disturbs me more.

OK... gotta ask. Why does either of them bug you?

I spent the last week lusting for the Hero at IBB . Crazy that the Hero II is available. If I was made of money it would be mine.

The other buggy ... :borg: ?

I imagine the day will come when mine will be for sale, but it won't be soon. I'm glad I found a solution for the Landsegler wheels that had me considering selling it a few years ago.

I should use smileys in my posts. I sometimes have a droll sense of humor.

Never before have I seen a PTW bug on ebay.
I'd always imagined that to obtain one you would be chosen from a short list and invited to a rigorous interview process by a panel of judges and if they accept you as a worthwhile candidate you then hand over the cash but they reserve the right to withdraw the offer if you don't pass their 3 month probation period.

In other words, The Hero bug is toooo nice to be on fleebay but the price is reassuringly high.

:D

Smileys are entirely optional. ;)

I pretty much never refer to eBay as FleaBay. It's just too unilateral and d@mning a statement.

This is probably closer to the truth:

Over the years, eBay has been the source of:

Flexifoil Bullet 1.5m
Flexifoil Bullet 4.5m
Flexifoil Rage 1.8m... in Midnight :wee:
Flexifoil Blurr 7.0m
Ozone Flow 2.0m

Never underestimate what you'll find on eBay both.... diamonds and cubic zirconia in equal measure.

how can the Hero buggy be for sale from the isle of Wight when the buggy is in the US? Wasn't there just the one seat custom made for the one buggy? Or were there a few versions with different badges on the seat (this one has two smaller ones vs the one large one)

Hero I - USA
Hero II - UK

from the auction listing details:

Quote:
"These was Popeyes tribute to those brave men and women who ran towards unimaginable danger to help and rescue hundreds possibly thousands of civilians in the 9/11 events,
this came in the shape of two special kite buggies:

He named them the Hero Buggy currently in the USA and the Hero Buggy II (the buggy your buying) currently in the UK in honour of those very brave people who gave their lives to help others, the fallen hero’s.

The fantastic seat was made by Jon and Helen of Buggybags and the HERO II has the EMS Paramedic patch as well as the main patch making it quite special. These fantastic seats was made by Jon and Helen of Buggybags.

Also comes with splash guard, matching side rail covers, buggybags kit bag fitted to the buggy, and PTW HERO Race plaques."
