Took my Ozone Quattro out for it's 3rd flight today. 10-20mph winds. Got some real good pulls. It was awesome. Had it up in the air for about 30
minutes and then SNAP! I thought I snapped the line. Was a little surprised because the wind didn't seem excessively strong. When i finally retrieved
the line, it wasn't the kite line that snapped, but the cord that the line attaches to on the handle, and it snapped back at the handle! This is the
main line, not the brake line.
Is it just me, or is this a bit odd?
I'm thinking I should give Ozone a call.
Thoughts?

Give ozone a call. That line was likely damaged in either production or use. Leaders are way overbuilt and should not snap unless damaged.

It does happen but I agree that contacting the manufacturer is in order. You obviously haven't flown your kite enough for it to be a normal wear
situation..

Cool, thanks to both of you.
This is exactly what I was thinking... just wanted to make sure before I call.

I was just going over the kite again before contacting ozone and found that three of the brake lines detached from the kite, on that same side.

I'd let Ozone know. You'll also need to document your flying conditions. They'll probably want some additional info. Lot number/serial number, where
you purchased etc.. I've never dealt with Ozone but I think they will stand behind their product. I do think they will want good details so they can
determine why you kite failed.
I wish you good luck.

The brake bridles failed when being over stressed when your handle attachments failed. I have seen this a few times. Contact your dealer. They should
make this right. I do not currently deal with ozone, but all my other suppliers would make good on this even if it was a bit past the stated warranty
period. Good manufacturers defend their brands vigorously.

Me if you got the lines from me! Just curious how old were they? Lotta salt? But all four at once is pretty spectacular.
PHREERIDER - 15-4-2014 at 07:07 AM
angus these lines had approx. 1000+ hours ... just goofing....point of it------>things break
acampbell - 15-4-2014 at 07:14 AM
Yeah I figured they were on a high sodium diet!

Update!
Ozone is taking care of it all under warranty.
All i have to do is pay for the shipping both ways. I don't mind that, and they are only 3 hours from me.

Thank you for letting us know. It's always good to hear when someone has a positive experience with a vendor or manufacturer too..
