I'm looking for a harness and a bar to fly with my fixed bridle kites. I already have experience with handles, and since I'm
eventually looking to move more towards depower, this seems like the logical choice.
Not sure what kind of harness I need. One that can be used for depower when I get there would be cool (if that's possible).
For a bar, I'm thinking a hybrid one like Ozone makes would be an excellent choice.
Any decent beginners landboard would be fine - just something to help me learn on before I upgrade to something more "custom". Additionally, I'm open
to other choices of wheels as well (Skikes, Buggy, etc).
I assume it will have to be shipped, but I am going through Chicago in a few weeks and could certainly stop to buy.

You don't need a bar to hook in to FB kites. You just need a strop line on top of your handles.
Going to a bar is sort of a step backward.

You will absolutely not find a better deal on a board than http://www.powerkiteforum.com/viewthread.php?tid=28001 A very nice deck, for $250 shipped.

Isn't that deck a bit stiff for me? I'm only 130# and am looking to jump with it. Is this a good fit for that?

The trick with buying used mountain boards is that the cost of shipping sometimes ruins any great savings you find.
I have an entry level board for sale but by the time shipping is added folks will only save about $50 from new. I am holding on to it for a local .
I suggest you check Craig's list and such to see what is local to save on shipping.

The mountain board and harness is taken care of. Got a Dakine Fusion harness and an MBS Comp 95 board. I'm going to use a strop line with my handles
as others have recommended - so I guess I'll skip the bar for now. I'll have a bar with a depower when I take that next step.
