Hey everyone! Finally got around to completing the editing from my Wildwood footage. Had a blast out there and got some pretty nice footage (mostly
of all of you passing me though- need some more kites : )
Tandem rig appears at 1:10 if you don't want to watch my solo helmet cam shots in the early video

Looked like you were getting some nice drift action going on. Good thing you had some ballast !! MikeDobbs - 10-5-2014 at 08:17 AM
Yeah- without the extra wheels and weight I might have gotten a little wet there at the end :opastorbudwine - 10-5-2014 at 08:35 AM
I will not lie watching that makes me wish i had a buggycheezycheese - 10-5-2014 at 08:41 AM
Good to see you back out there Mike. I often think of our session in LB !!acampbell - 10-5-2014 at 09:19 AM
Great shots. What did you use to connect the tandem rig? Looks simple & effective.MikeDobbs - 10-5-2014 at 06:02 PM
Yeah Cheezy- we had some good sessions out at LB. I'm sure we have more good days to look forward to after the summer.
@acampbell THANKS! I really enjoyed some of the camera angles my wife/co-pilot/ballast got from the rear buggy :D
As for the connection, I used a short section of PVC pipe between the rear axle and the tandem rig itself. I used some cheap rope from home depot to
connect the two by running it back and forth between the axle and the tandem rig 3 or 4 times through the PVC pipe section, and taped the ends so my
clove hitches wouldn't loosen under load.
The idea of the PVC was to allow the rig to pivot in the turns and it worked quite well. Plenty of range of motion.
If you message me your email I can send you some picscheezycheese - 10-5-2014 at 06:18 PM
May be time for vimeo. YouTube blocked it for music.MikeDobbs - 10-5-2014 at 06:49 PM
Sorry Cheezy- I always have that problem. Better with Vimeo? I'll give it a shot acampbell - 10-5-2014 at 07:02 PM
Yeah I wondered how long it would take to get caught with the music. YouTube must have a crawler-bot application to troll for copyright snags. Vimeo
for sure.
Mike I think ive got it thanks. I thought about something like this before but was not sure the PVC could take the compression loads. But seeing the
rig hold up in those slides at the end cinched it for me. Very elegant and simple at the same time. Awesome. Bringing some PVC to JIBE. MikeDobbs - 10-5-2014 at 07:30 PM
Sorry Cheezy- I always have that problem. Better with Vimeo? I'll give it a shot Kober - 10-5-2014 at 09:47 PM

What a great video MikeDobbs - 11-5-2014 at 05:04 AM
Awesome Angus- let me know how it works out. Hopefully I'll get to ride with you down there sometime :D
Thanks for the positive comments on the video everyone- I really enjoy creating these.
@Cheezy- sorry 'bout the block man. I looked carefully over the Vimeo guidelines and I'm nervous to upload there because of potential copyright
issues. I know it's a pain when YouTube blocks on mobile or other devices, but I feel a certain amount of protection because I know YouTube is
communicating with the copyright holders and making ads or device restrictions available to make them happy. Vimeo doesn't do this, which means I
would be fully exposed to a copyright holder that didn't like me using their song. At least with Facebook I know that if the owner really doesn't
want me to use the song it will get pulled, Vimeo doesn't do that.

I love how your lady never stopped smiling! :D Fun!
:D:D:D Her and me both! :D:D:D
It was actually a ton more fun buggying with her than it is without. I don't think I ever want to buggy alone again! Plus, she can carry an extra
kite or two if conditions change
