Terrablades 001 for sale

Terrablader - 11-5-2014 at 03:21 PM

I am thinking of selling one of my sets of Terrablades. These are a few years old, one of my earlier made ones, my machining skills in terms of finish got better over time but the CNC accuracy, and skate design is the same.

They have fresh coat of dry lake bed dust from IvanPah event. which will be cleaned off prior to shipping.

Asking $650. If you are interested pls email me, and tell me where you will be using them, hopefully who ever buys them if, will take some nice shots always looking for footage.

Throwing the idea around about selling these material cost is nearly $500 these days between the aluminum cost, and tires, and bindings, and stainless hardware.

While these may cost more than Coyotes going in they will last a lifetime.

Coyotes are plastic and only built in the early 2000's . They are getting harder to find and break down easier these days. I had aluminum rims made for mine and have a spare ( 4th set :( ) in the shed.

I have seen these. They will run over anything ! Much rougher terrain than Coyotes + I suspect slightly softer sand ?

Great investment for somebody who is into blading for the long run + those with too big of feet for Coyotes !

Thanks Bladerunner

Looking forward to getting you on them next year. They will outlive all of us most certainly. Billet aluminum, Bomber bindings (solid), Stainless hardware, the wheels completely replaceable, MBS or whatever.

I am toying with the idea of selling the 3rd pair I have, for some cash for ski gear. Where the Terrablades really shine is when you hit the the nasty stuff, tufted grass, sand, rocky stuff and the POWER right over. The rollerblade Coyotes quick and agile, great on hardback, I loved mine, but the sand traps and so forth in Southern CA could send you flying head over heals on them.

Also being able to jump out of the skates and walk around on ski boots is pretty nice too. I remember once trying to take my Coyotes off with the buckle stuck for 20 minutes using a wrench.

I the extra wheels on the Terrablades can provide more traction when needed.

Not to run down Coyotes, they are a nice set of gear to have, much easier to transport, you can skate flat terrain, do tricks. They move dam fast down hard pack fire roads, the brakes are nice.

I built the Terrablades to be a solid platform over any terrain, in that respect there is a huge difference one is for off roading hard core the other more versatile. I discovered the kite application 5 years after making the Terrablades.

There is also now the PowerSlide company making off road skates they look nice. Again great for hard pack and tricks, and some flat skaing too.

What bindings are those on them / what are they compatible with? And in curiosity can you send me the hole spacing for how they're mounted, so I can see if my rental bindings might fit them (which would mean any shoe size!)

Sorry I am back and will be watching this more carefully, I am not getting a U2U notification of new messages in inbox. These skates use standard ski boots or some Alpine touring boots

The skates come with the bindings. Bomber bindings

I am not making skates anymore, these skates work with MBS wheels or skyway, the bindings are Bomber Bindings. No brakes on these they are a kite setup. Skates are very well made, being used means nothing to Terrablades.
