Yesterday it was blowing a little strong 14 mph wind with gust up to 20 mph. I thought I am ready for stronger wind experience so I took out my 3 m hq
beamer. It goes pretty well, only got thrown off once with gusty wind. An hour later I feels that I should work on some of the skills.. Decide to
attempt to ride my kite upwind instead of walking back to start of field.. Well.. I did it!! Proud of myself for learning a useful skill after kiting
on and off for a year! For those who are learning, don't be afraid to cross the line a little but not way too far. :-Dhiaguy - 27-5-2014 at 05:43 PM
Congratulations! It'll all be more fun now that you can get back to where you started :wee:markite - 27-5-2014 at 06:08 PM

Congrats!!
Agree with Mark. Progression is eminent now.
5 minutes of Mark knowledge, and he sent me almost 3 miles up wind LOLabkayak - 28-5-2014 at 01:35 PM

I wish we have more great windy day like this here in hilly area. I'm thinking of moving up to a bigger kite for a lighter wind. Maybe a depower kite
for gusty wind that we usually have here. From what I read.. Access/Frenzy/Montana sound great for this area with light and gusty wind. acampbell - 30-5-2014 at 12:01 PM
Yeah that's great. It's generally considered that when you can roll back in the the same sport where you started, then you have really "gotten it". I
remember that epiphany moment for me. Congrats!!!! Now about that dead mans turn... :-)propylene22 - 11-6-2014 at 03:58 PM
