Hello again everyone,
The surgery went about as expected. Fortunately or unfortunately the mass on my kidney was in fact cancerous.:o .
I have to go back for more blood work and have to be monitored for next few months to make sure my remaining kidney is functioning normally. The mass
and kidney that were removed seems to have been a localized form of cancer. I hope and pray I'm lucky enough to say I've beaten cancer
for good but only time will tell.
The most distressing thing of recovery so far is a NO wearing of a harness or kite sports as per Dr's orders . Fortunately I did get him to agree to me flying a small trainer kite without a harness.
I've sadly at his point given up all hope of making it to Ivanpah as planed prior to my 50th birthday(2015). Unless I win the lottery it's just not
going to happen
So I've got my health, am cancer free, still have an new-ish unused buggy and plenty of Louisiana and Texas beaches to go to some day, some
day:puzzled:
I'll get back in the saddle some day folks it's just going to take time :D
Thanks to everyone for your prayers & support!BeamerBob - 3-6-2014 at 12:43 PM
Let's hope your recovery is smooth and quick. We all want you to get back in the saddle as soon as you're ready. Ivanpah isn't going anywhere. It
will be here when you can come take full advantage of it.abkayak - 3-6-2014 at 01:04 PM

YES! A chest harness does exist and were most commonly used by windsurfers or pole boarders whichever you prefer to call them
If I'm really Jones-ing for seat time I could just rig up a rail to rail which transfers the pull for the most part directly to the buggy and not the
body. Just have to make certian your siderails can handle the stress. I have a QR set up that would work like thisabkayak - 4-6-2014 at 11:18 AM
you need to get your mind right...stop w/ this getting back to work and focus on getting your new kite setup in place

It's tough to prioritize in that way anymore with a mortgage, car payments, eking by on the good graces of my family & friends to keep the power
on and bills paid and my Son turning 2 this September. I'm/we are hanging on by a thread at present.
Having my medical release date pushed back now till June 24 is not helping either.
Still taking it one day at a time & trying to stay positive. If things go any further south ALL of my toys will be going up for sale soon so keep
on the lookout for that:dunno:acampbell - 13-6-2014 at 04:23 PM
We're all hoping for a good full recovery for you. Keep positive for sure.
