Make fun of me if you want but remember I did at least try it.

P.s.
Pics to follow I just hate posting pics to forums. It is a real PITA when you are not tech savvy.

Nine Inch Nails chicks do that way better.....jusayin

SpecialK - 4-6-2014 at 01:34 PM

Why is it something you'd want to do? Does it give you a dose of endorphins?

what is disturbing is..

skimtwashington - 4-6-2014 at 02:05 PM

.. very young children were there watching.

snowspider - 4-6-2014 at 02:38 PM

Personally I dont get it , that aint saying much though , I dont "get" some of the things I do. Riding bike trails in the dark with 30 others , following the little red flashing light who's following the little red flashing light....who's following the little headlight. Tomorrow , parking garages and cemetaries. Have fun , try not to get hurt!

John Holgate - 4-6-2014 at 04:16 PM

That was a little disturbing. Could you explain exactly what was happening and why?

pyro22487 - 4-6-2014 at 04:31 PM

It's called suspension. Some cultures this is a coming of age tradition some cultures do it as a form of worship. Today some people do it for the rush some for the pain. Some do it for the spiritual feeling they get. I did it to see if I could sadly I enjoyed it and would like to try to do it again. Longer air time would be nice and a longer stretching time.

The other guy that went after me took 10-15 minutes to get off the table. I took 2-4 minutes to leave the ground. So I think I would have done better with a longer stretching time.

As for the young kids that were there those are the piercer kids. The piercer and his wife do a side show/ freakshow. They have seen so many things this didn't even shock them. You can actually watch documentaries on this stuff on the discovery channel and other public tv stations.

They asked one of the kids what they thought about the other guys suspension stuff and the kid was like ah what ever. They didn't even notice really.

Also the part where they lowered me down I was feeling really light headed due to the fact I didn't eat well enough before hand.

I hope I answered your questions well enough. If not just ask. It's interesting to see and it didn't hurt as much as you might think.

So this is how tech savvy I am lol

cheezycheese - 4-6-2014 at 05:52 PM

Soooo, what happens to the holes in your back....? :dunno:

3shot - 4-6-2014 at 05:54 PM

Dang bro. :o :o :o

If that's your thing and makes you happy... ;)

Think I'll stick to flying over powered :D

PHREERIDER - 4-6-2014 at 06:26 PM

dig it man! spiritual beings having a human experience....with communal help...that kinda energy radiates!!

pyro22487 - 4-6-2014 at 06:48 PM

The holes close up quickly they are not permanent.

ssayre - 4-6-2014 at 06:56 PM

I would only do that trick if they were using amsteel to suspend me and a chicken loop with qr on the hooks. :P

B-Roc - 4-6-2014 at 07:28 PM

Yikes, definitely not my cup of tea and crying out "OMG" when the skin breaks or the line fails wouldn't count as spiritual for me. Not judging. Just saying.

pyro22487 - 4-6-2014 at 07:40 PM

The line they used was 4mm accessory cord and there are 4 strands of it. That's rock climbing grade the pulley mechanism and rope were all rock climbing grade. All the ropes and steel pieces are rock climbing certified. The blue tho drabs my friend is suspended from is a rock climbing grade device. That boomerang alone was 1500$

John Holgate - 5-6-2014 at 12:18 AM

Thanks for the explanation

I had thought I'd seen something like this a long time ago - it was 'the return of a man called horse' but I couldn't remember the film title.

I'm glad it's not as painful as it looks!

cheezycheese - 5-6-2014 at 05:46 AM

Was the rope and equipment sterilized..? Any protection against infection. .?

pyro22487 - 5-6-2014 at 10:51 AM

All equipment is run through the same sterilization process as medical equipment. The ropes are not reused. The "needles" are a one time use item that slide onto the hooks by the use of a taper. The sterilization was actually very surprising. The parts the ropes were ran through were little d-rings 1 was dropped on the ground so they actually put that on into the bag of used and went and got a sterile one. This piece wasn't even goińg into the flesh it was attached to an eyelet about 7 inches from the flesh.

pyro22487 - 5-6-2014 at 10:53 AM

The piercing table was wiped down with bleach then dried then wiped down with alcohol.

Oh and of course the piercing site was properly cleaned too with alcohol before the needles were pushed through.

Afterwar the needles were removed the air was massaged out of the piercing. Then alcohol was applied to the area again. Then large bandages were put on and left for about 4 hours.

eggy - 5-6-2014 at 02:54 PM

How about a two line fixed bridle kite flown off your nipples!! Dare ya..lol!

B-Roc - 5-6-2014 at 03:01 PM

Or tandem buggy attached to his back :o;)

pyro22487 - 5-6-2014 at 03:40 PM

My piercer wants to find a way to anchor a kite the belly or chest area. I don't think it is possible. One gust of wind would really cause some problems. Although a group in Germany did a BASE jump successfully. Another group has bungee jumped too. Not sure of the hieght or if terminal velocity was reached.

B-Roc - 5-6-2014 at 04:59 PM

I'd think a single line kite would pose little risk depending upon size and wind conditions. Something stable like a sled or a delta with a long tail.

3shot - 5-6-2014 at 05:56 PM

You know arcs auto zenith :D

PHREERIDER - 5-6-2014 at 06:51 PM

wide studs on both sides of rib cage to hips maybe 2 rows each side . bridled lacing for centered ring

2 rows across hips and umbilicus or maybe large cross pattern with 3-4inch studs maybe a dozens

maybe laced with some studs around back as well

definitely doable. think like big boot lacing across abs using studs or rings as turnbuckles

pyro22487 - 5-6-2014 at 09:11 PM

Hey phree do you think you could sketch that up or maybe give me a anatomy pic with x or dots on it. For a visual representation. Also

@3shot that is an idea with those 10-12m arcs may be doable.

Lol I just saw the sled post and added this edit
To clarify by kite we are talking a land boarding kite. He wanted to do a kiteboard but with the water being disgusting and causing infections it would be best to do it on land would be best.

PHREERIDER - 6-6-2014 at 05:10 AM

will do

pyro22487 - 6-6-2014 at 10:55 AM

Thanks! Phree.

pyro22487 - 11-6-2014 at 08:53 PM

So we may have found a way to connect a kite to the hooks I'll post video and pics if and when it happens. I do believe I may be the guinepig for this endeavor as I am the only one in the area crazy/stupid enough to kite and get suspended. All I can think is ouch my tummy and the hooks. So much pain.

Thanks again phree...
