:O i just crashed while jumping. only broke a fingernail <_<. On a high now.
*cough*. you know bigger kites give the parachute affect. I was thinking, if you drove a big kite behind you while jumping, surely it'll collapse like
a little kite.
I got whip lash the other week because of kiting and i'm just making it worse. *pill pops*

The kite should only collapse when you land if you don't redirect it.
Problem is that when flying on the ground the kite should never be 90deg to the groung. It'll be straight overhead but slightly down wind of you. When
you're floating down, you should have enough tension on the lines and sail to keep it open, the problem comes when you hit the ground with the kite
straight over head. It's further up the window than it would ever be when flying normal so it'll luff out. To avoid this you have to redirect the kite
before you hit the ground, you want the kite heading fairly hard to the left or right just before contact with the ground. If you get it right you'll
still land softly but be just starting to power out of the landing.
Big kites do rock though, so much float.

ok, i have a 3m and i'm hardly ever dropped. But then i can only really do pendulum jumps, so the kites not above me when i land. Gonna save up for a
4.9 blade anyway.

Why not buy a para glider, the hang time is a lot better?
