Anyone on here use IRC? It's a kind of online chatroom that used to far more common, but is still used pretty heavily by some computer people.
I couldn't find an existing power kiting (or just general kiting) room so I started on at ##powerkites at Freenode. I'm connected to IRC all the time
and at my computer pretty often.
If you've never used IRC before you can try it out by going to the Freenode web client (link) and seeing who's around. You can also download an IRC client and connect to irc.freenode.net and join ##powerkites.
For people who haven't used IRC before be aware that often times people aren't around right when you join, but if you hang around for a bit a
conversation can get going.
No idea if anyone here'll be interested, but I'll hang around the channel for a week or so to see. Hope to see a couple other people there!
Edit: Note it's ##powerkites not #powerkites

I'm always on IRC, and I've added the channel to the list. Realtime chat is marvelous, and despite it's age IRC does it quite well :-)

I've been idling there too for quite a while.

I'd say despite it's age, IRC is STILL THE BEST way to chat! In other news, GET OFF MY LAWN/INTERNET YOU DAMN KIDS.. :D
