Need Some Pricing Help with an 8m Psycho 3

Proletariat - 23-7-2014 at 09:15 PM

Hi all,
I'm considering selling an 8m Psycho III to an interested party. It has FDS, canopy is in great shape, has the old style bar, but very little wear, good lines, relatively tuned, etc.

I am not even sure I want to sell it, but I was considering buying a giant LEI, so I could use the cash now. It's probably not worth less than $300 but also probably not more than $600, is what I was thinking, but I can't find one for sale anywhere for comparison.

Does anyone feel like chiming in?

While we're at it, what's a 13m Psycho II that's a tuning nightmare (canopy, bar and lines good) worth?

a year or 2 ago they were going for around 500-600.... its tough to find em anymore, especially non-repaired condition. they require more maintenance than other flysurfers and many folks let them go out of tune then they fly crappy, but they are a great kite when tuned correctly. i still avidly use all my psycho3 kites, 8m and 10m the most. super stable, great jumps, very powerful.

i know afew fellas who would probably want it... i'll email em.

the psycho2 is totally extinct...i wouldn't expect more than 150 for it.

Thanks for the tips, John. Let me know if anyone is interested in the Psycho III... I might just hang onto it, because it's pretty sweet. If I send you the PII, can you tune it? The bridles are a mess and it's out of my skill range.

with the Y-line 'multi-wac' system its not very tunable... i could fix the mess but not any noticeable performance gain unfortunately

BTW proletariat its a psycho 3 not 2.

if the 13m in discussion here is a psycho2, there's not alot that can be done to tune the kite for better performance. if it is a psycho3 then it can totally be tuned and i'd love to help.

Awesome. I don't think I even wanna mess with it, but if you can tune it, it might be a keeper. Thanks for the clarification, Dave. John, I'll email you separately for a quote. Dave, I'll hit you up before I make any decisions and we'll hash it out.
