Ron is correct.

The viper is an awesome kite in the smaller sizes, but the 6.8 is a bit slow. A reactor will serve as a much better buggy engine.

I loved my 6.8m Viper S, but someone offered to trade it for a 5.5m Reactor II and I jumped at it... I ended up having to get another low wind engine, and eventually got the 8.6m Reactor II also. What you'll find with the Reactors is that are a great JWC kite. They are super stable in spite of unstable wind, not to mention their awesome upwind capability.

Dude, where have you been. It stands for the "janky wind club". Soliver is the founding member. It refers to gust / lull inland wind. I think you might be a member and didn't know it.

This "May be" available for sale end of October.

I'm tweeking / tuning the brake lines, to compare to it's never been flown yet replacement may be a Beamer 5m

.............maybe.......for sale........but trust me no rush to sell.

gotta have a fly-off back to back with the 5m Bmr and 6.8 Viper first.

smaller vipers are wicked fun, and the 6.8 ViperS is a hoot to fly, just not a spin on it's center axis snappy quick, but awesome nice kite sorta rare to find up for sale as people hold on to them.

Strictly speculation having not flown either one, but I'm guessing the beamer will be a faster turner and more fun to fly static and the viper will have considerably more pull in the same winds. The unique thing about my viper 5.3 is it seems to have several gears depending on how the brakes are used which I think sets them apart from most other foils I've flown. Also, I my 5.3 has some lift to it which I like when I'm flying static. If the 6.8 is fast enough through the window I could imagine it being a good but mellow jumper which I would like. Take your time if you decide to sell it because I'll be out of cash or awhile.

My 6.8 featured prominently in my beach video, some decent scuds and nose dives...........I had full brakes applied and it still liked to go thump into the sand. grins

I've now lengthened the power lines ~2". equivalent of running a tighter brake line?

Prior owner must of wanted more power? hence the shortened power leader bridles.

will try again, against Gen IV beamer 5m. many back to back flights in the next couple weeks.

Also have a new Viper 3.9 I don't have many flights on. see my sig.

They'll all get exercised the next couple weeks.
