Power Kite Forum

SOLD, no more kites.

Windy Heap - 12-9-2014 at 02:32 PM

Gotta lets some of my wife's favorite kites go. She's moved on.

These are great stepping-stone foils, for teenagers, wifes, and all around good loaner kites to friends.

Even for travel kites, I've flown a foil at 14,400 feet on top a volcano in Hawaii........yeah the air is THIN up there.

Kite one I bought new:

1.7 meter across measured horizontal, New Tech Thunderfoil 2. Twin Line, nice and compact. Quick zippy fast for crisp tight turns! Think Porsche. Cool Graphics.

Kite 2:

3.0 sq meter Gen IV Beamer, complete turn key ready to fly. Lines, handles, sand stake/holster, Kite Killers, bag.

Full disclosure on the Beamer as it has a small 12" x 18" slightly soiled area, I bought it used this way from a fellow PKF'er which is barely discernible. Looks like a slight mold/dampness stain in the fabric, I dunno? see Highlighted area. Didn't bother me or my wife for many fun filled flights. very minor but I want buyer to know up front.

So, 2 kites for the price of one. Price is firm...........otherwise, what else would I loan my friends to pop their power kiting cherry? or take to the top of a Hawaii volcano?

A 1.7 and 3 meter kite, shipped. $200 paypal as cash please.

Great kites for whoever is starting out or even enjoying some of those high wind conditions for the more experienced! Amazing price as well, Beamer 3m alone sells for 280, you're basically getting a free kite here. Two for one :D

good karma pays forward.

now, onto the noobie cherry popping.

I still haven't figured out whether Quiver is a noun or verb?.

sharing with others. A noble quest.

I price to sell.

Nice quiver I've built up in less than a year per my sig line, so we're all noobies and learning everyday!

wife put on pouty face and gave me "one of those glaring looks" when I mentioned I was selling the 2 kites, including her smaller 1.7m New Tech.

I have 2 1.7s and 2 1.2s in the Double Dragon sail pattern.

Fun little kites that can be left in the knapsack for impromptu flying and you'd never really know they were there.

Ranks up there with the baby Gen 1 Stylus and the WindDances for giggle flying.

Be glad it was the pouty face and not the....

And a small tribute to the smallest (1.2) Thunderfoil....

Sam

P.S. Sorry for the thread veer.

Yes those little 1.2 and 1.7's can make for small slot-car zippy performance, grins, I've snapped the 200# test lines one day, when I was up in wind that I shouldn't of been.....

slot car fast. :D

plus as they don't really tug hard, you don't get tired, as they're not a work out.

But as mentioned, high on the giggle factor and you can hand it to anyone to break their virgin foil cherry.

3m Beamer is still available for $175 shipped, or make me a fair offer.

I'm in no rush to sell but want to share it if someone has a 3.0 hole in their quiver of toys...........errr, wind tools.

you always need more tools!

after a potential sale fell through, Beamer 3m still available for $175 shipped.

It's the yellow/white 4 line kite featured predominately in this video:
