I flames shooting out of my pockets....I'm not like the other guys....It's not a WANT........it's a NEED....
Looking to buy 1 FB kite, RTF for Wildwood....You can look at what I have and fill in the quiver size for me....Blurr? Rage?....
Also looking for an extra set of Flexifoil handles...love the shape of the ones that came with my Rage...not a big fan of the flexi handles that came
with my bullet or PL viper...
SHOW ME THE KITES.....

I've been digging for a decent 4.7 Rage for an eternity it seems

Just noticing you don't have any generation Reactor. The latest are really sweet. Also, since you aren't afraid of kites that fly fast and well, you
might really enjoy a 9-10m Montana. HQ Toxics might be enticing as well.
For fixed bridle, you are good to go up through the 7m bullet, so larger fixed bridles could fill a need in the lower winds.
Since you seem to like Blades, you might really enjoy the midsize Montana (size depends on generation you purchase) due to its nimble stability. A
12ish meter might offer more low wind ability with less crossover with your Apex but they will be harder to find used. How much money do we get to
spend?:D

My Skydog 9.3 did me good in Sunset OR. And for a time I was keeping up with the 12s.

First, lets all agree on one thing.......you can never have enough kites......Now with that said.....I'm looking for a used kite as I am married with
children and don't really need another kite...(even though I joked about needing and not wanting).
How about some suggestions of other kites. I know this sounds crazy but where I live big kites do not get a lot of fly time..I don't really like the
depower kites (FB on handles I love) makes me the most comfortable when flying and there is just something about it....
My go-to kite is the 3.5 rage which was my first real kite and is getting pretty wore in. (should of snagged Weldngod's rage for replacement last
week) next is the 5.5 Viper...With the winds as gusty as they are I'm happier to be able to choose a kite just perfect for that day...this means even
though kites are similar in size (3.5 rage to 5.5 viper to 4.0 blade)..This little bit makes flying a "Certain" one better than the others in the
field that day.
I hope that makes sense. I know I need a high wind kite in the 2m - 3m range. I have always wanted to buy/try a blurr to compare it to my
rage/blades...Love the speed of the blade, but those things scare the crap out of me in gusty conditions. The rage does not, but it doesn't get the
job done sometimes. However sometimes the blade(s) are the only ones that have enough power to pull your butt through a field.
4.7 rage? Blurr 3.5 to ? maybe a kite that will pull like my 7.0 bullet in low winds but turn a little quicker.. Like last weekend it was easier to
fly my 6.6 blade than the 7.0 bullet...When the wind would change ever so slightly that thing would just fall from the sky....we all know how that
feels and the curse words you make up while watching it from your buggy seat...
Another consideration is I love going fast, but I only weigh 147 pounds so the side pull on bigger kites is a workout and they often launch me out of
the buggy just parked in the Zenith..
bla-bla-bla.....I'll shut up now and wait for more feedback...LOL
Thanks for all the thoughts and suggestions....

Ok you said let's shake it up, you like speed hence your current quiver, but you want something to handle the gusts and haul you through fields.....
It's easy an NPW! :D Very little lift, power on-tap.
shehatesmyhobbies - 14-9-2014 at 05:19 AM
Reactor II all the way IMO, the way you fly and your riding style almost demand it. 2.7 or 3.5m for those really good days.
skimtwashington - 14-9-2014 at 06:19 AM
I tried a 3.5 Blurr...and it did not live up to it's name and claim of "speed"!
I found- like all Flexifoil kites- it was quality construction and materials, but it just didn't have that much power for an intermediate to advanced
kite- one that they tout as being "a phenomenal leap in speed" (not sure what they're comparing it to?).
The theory of the Blurrs's Triple A Bridle Adjustment System seems fantastic, but on the kite I tried above, I had to put it on the last knot just to
get it to fly right(it would not zenith till that adjustment). This did not seem to leave any adjustment for more lift.
With that said... it DID though have the stability it advertised- which you are looking for...but not sure it would much of a jump over your 3.5 Rage.
You got your Blades for real speed and lift.
looking at your list... I see filling with a Blade 3m, a Bullet 5.5, Viper 2.6, Reactor 2.7, NPW 9-10m( very low wind days).
Okay..someone else stir the pot 'cause I think I just dropped in some chunks:bouncing:

If you have deep pockets, then maybe you would want my Rage (PUNK) quiver. Recently decided to part with them, and will need to replace at least a
couple as these are (flying) kites and not the kites you leave at home or in the bag.
soliver - 15-9-2014 at 08:59 AM
DITTOS on the RII... LOVE LOVE LOVE all 3 of mine.... i rocked out the 8.6m this weekend.
BEC - 15-9-2014 at 09:40 AM
I guess I will need to buy or at least try one of these reactors. Especially seeing that Rich suggested one...Its always a good feeling when someone
you know and has seen you ride tells you that you would be happy with such a kite.
I guess I've always needed a kite that is smaller than my rage 3.5 (when this ones just on the edge of being too big for the wind that day) but bigger
than the 1.8 core that just doesn't get the job done....
Thanks everyone this helps when looking out for what to purchase.
WELDNGOD - 15-9-2014 at 10:03 AM
(picks up boat paddle) Hey Bruce, he said "Rage (PUNK) quiver' ..... :D:D:P:P
shehatesmyhobbies - 15-9-2014 at 10:23 AM
Bruce we will have the 2.8 with us and I'm sure you might be able to all us into a demo on it. We have a couple of the larger sizes as well I think.
BEC - 15-9-2014 at 12:51 PM
I will take you up on that offer for the 2.8 Rich...thanks...is that a used or new kite...Can you U2U me price?
Boy when it rains it pours...I guess I did stir the pot a bit....Got a couple good offers on the plate...looks like someone wants to put out the
flames shooting out of my pocket....lol.
I have offers for replacement kites...really nice but I have them....really trying to try something new out to fly..
Punk quiver....I have always wanted one...but I don't know if I can swing a quiver...Waiting to hear back from a U2U. Wife said don't buy another
kite....that's singular right?....she never said DON'T BUY A QUIVER...
:P
hiaguy - 15-9-2014 at 01:58 PM
Hey Bruce,
I've got a 3m Core that you're welcome to take for a test drive at WBB.
You'll probably prefer the Reactor, but hey, why not? (Besides, if you're flying at your speed with a 3m :shocked2: , I'll be using something smaller
:wee: )
...29...
soliver - 15-9-2014 at 05:02 PM
Mm mm loves the Cores too... Bruce, you'll love the Reactor,... I think your buddy Scott has a 6.9m too if I'm not mistaken.
aronma - 15-9-2014 at 05:07 PM
I should have the 3.5 from Weldngod's in time for WWB. You can borrow it if you need a back-up
