Ozone depower only

acampbell - 18-9-2014 at 03:09 PM

Maybe y'all have heard but I just got the memo that Ozone is ceasing all production of fixed bridle kites effective immediately, selling off old stock first come, first serve. Exception is the three line IGnition trainer.

They are focusing on depower "which is what the market needs"

Huh.

We need to get you out away from the sea turtles more often.

No more ozone fixed bridle

Sad day in Whoville, indeed.

ATB,
Sam

The REAL question is how we get in on the first come first served lineup?

Really going to miss the FB selection from Ozone... :(

if I only could ever have afforded a Quantum, it might make me sad

USA_Eli_A - 19-9-2014 at 12:39 PM

Yep, and they are increasing the smaller sizes of the Chrono and other depower kites proven effective for land kiting.

Some random kiter jumped in a buggy and hit 65mph with and 11m ozone edge. Crazy huh?

I saw some guy flying Ozone on the west coast a couple weeks ago. Wish I had a chance to say thanks for every thing before I left.

Hmmmm......small Chrono/high winds.......could make for a very speedy recipe.

USA_Eli_A - 20-9-2014 at 09:37 AM

Meat Driver uses depower and seems to be having just as much fun if not more fun that the fb guys. He's says it's fun to be able to throw the kite around without too much worry.

MeatÐriver - 20-9-2014 at 06:40 PM

Not entirely correct sir. If you recall, I like to "wang" the kite around! You definitely won't hear Sean and I upset over the FB discontinuation. #OzoneDP4Life! That being said.... one of my favorite runs ever was you and I lit up on the big GTs dodging cars and people for miles.

Nothing Like an Ozone UL Frenzy to drag you across the tidal ponds!

BigMikesKites - 21-9-2014 at 04:30 AM

Yeah, They only have very few kites left at this point. A couple of the smaller Octanes. I have a 5m octane here. a handful of the Quattros and 2 Quantums.

Even the turbo bar is gone. Hopefully the new Peter Lynn xover bar will be a nice replacement. I will be testing one of those today.
