The dead bird team has made the decision to relocate the event out at slp (san luis pass). A part of east beach has been designated a bird sanctuary
and kites and buggys are not allowed in that area now. So, make your plans to come and join us on the other end of the island at slp.

We had a good little meet-up @ SLP on Sunday.
Van & Family, Mark & Wife, Jeremiah, Laura and myself.
Nice steady SE winds 12 - 18mph , mostly sunny 72 degrees.
Not many beach goers out. We got a lot of fast runs in to water tower and back and some tandem buggy-ing in. Sand in great shape, for the most part
packed. Got some Ariel footage w/ the help of Jeremiah's he-xi copter.(see pics) Van and Mark did it up nice with some bbq wings and burgers or us
all. Just another great day power kiting with friends .
If the sand conditions can hold on for 3 more weeks, DBBB should be a good one. Good winds good friends good food.....don't get much better that. see

looks like the move to slp was the right one for the event.

I just did a head count. As of right now there are 19 registered for the pre-event and 34 registered for the main event.
