There has recently been an increased interest im nightriding during the bash. I hope we get an opprtunity sgsin next week.
If you are interested i think in the interest of saftey you should consider geting some cheap led lights and attach at least one to your kite and one
on the buggy.

from a saftey stand point lights are helpful although i would strongly recommend that any lights be shining down or underneath your buggy so as to not
blind another pilot- and yeah i plan on riding at night both on the board (hopefully) and on the bug. Another item that BEC and i were planning on
bringing were a couple of cones that we can put glow sticks in as markers for a night course. Found in the past that by setting up a circuit you are

One thought was a headlamp with adjustable swivel that can angle down might be good...but if you look up at kite you're gonna flash blind
someone coming towards you..especially those Cree light ones.
Some low lumen level lights... shining under buggy, at front and sides- pointing down- may work. Tied on glow sticks to buggy may be good(no glare or
blinding of another rider!)
But you may not need ANY light.(depending on your vision). In previous year's bash I shut off light(headlamp) and rode under the available sky light
of half or quarter moon(can't remember). We seem to be able to just see each other well enough and our kites also. It was great wind, good weather and
a highlight of that bash.
There were only a few of us out late ridin' after midnight , so the more riders, the more caution needed...
and not to be taken lightly.
There will be some natural moon light-though not full-and this should help.

*BTW: I believe an incidence at a previous bash severl years ago was that Cops had come by and asked folks to leave that night?
I believe this may be a possibility but maybe not likely ...?

A few headlamps are sold that have 2 LED settings and 1 Red light setting that you can use to see with, but its not blinding... Just an idea.RedSky - 6-10-2014 at 07:42 PM
How about Nav lights or Right-of-way lights.

A red light is mounted on the left or port side of the craft and a green on the right or starboard side. In a situation where the paths of two
watercraft or aircraft cross, these lights help each crew determine the other craft's direction and who has right-of-way.

Glow sticks under the buggy are a great idea. I have a set of L.E.D's from night fly's with single lines that don't really weigh anything in

One of my fondest buggy memories is from many years ago (in the 90's) riding wildwood beach at night on a full moon. It was smooth, steady breeze and
just the sound of wheels on wet sand, whistling kite lines and the small waves lapping the shore. Some had small lights on the kites and all had a
flashlight or small light mounted on the bugg. Cruising along I would pick out a distant twinkle and in no time the hiss of passing wheels and nod of
a friend taking it all in going the other way and disappearing. It was a great evening for so many reasons. It was my my first visit to Wildwood, it
happened to be my birthday and that night I met a handful of others that have become long time buggy friends - many names that still get to wildwood.
Funny how things come full circle - it was a few years later when I went to Spring Break Buggy Blast for the first time (before it became NABX) and
wandered over to the hanging tree bar in Buffalo Bills looking for other buggy riders. There was one guy there with a kite t-shirt and we struck up a
conversation and eventually came around to talking about Wildwood and riding one night on a full moon and we both recalled looking at a buggy made
from pvc with some interesting charcteristics and one thing led to another and we realized we had met that night at Wildwood - it was great running
into Glen Pedro again and the friendship continues. Then coming forward to just a year and a half ago returning to wildwood for the spring bash I met
Terry on the beach and we spent time talking that weekend and I come to find out that rider with the pvc buggy many years ago was him!
