Flysurfer kite line ties ???

solamentej - 8-11-2014 at 11:57 AM

I have a flysurfer kite... Pulse2... changing some of the lines...

I do attach here a picture of the front lines ends.. WHAT ARE THOSE small RED
ties?

((these RED ties are also on the ends ( loops) of the steering lines))
what is the function of those?
How should they be tighten/placed, so they do what they should do? I thing.. right now ,, placed just as a decoration there...

THANK YOU, guys :puzzled:

I think they are there just to be able to loosen the larks heads easier.
I have several pulse 2's and if I recall, they are not on all of them.
Don't worry, just keep them for "decoration"!

Fly is right. They're just pulls to be able to loosen the larksheads without the need of tedious finger dexterity. The Original Peaks also had them. The current ones do not.

I love those little tabs.

What they said.

I'd move them to the kite end of the lines too...

thank you

thank you guys..
great.. I place them at the end of the larS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s knot.. so when I pull on them .. it will be easier for me to open the knots.. when lines get twisted/tangled....

thanks.. happy flying:D

If they are what I think they are they are LCL's . Little loops to go between your bridle lines and kite. Pound rated so they break before your kite is damaged. They are just being re-used as tabs. I know I got extras with my Flysurfer kites and suspect the previous owner just wanted to use them?

Look at the loops between your bridle lines and kite. If I am correct you should see them there doing what they should.
