10.8 Reactor 2

markite - 2-12-2014 at 09:17 PM

hmm a bunch of new kites about to arrive to try out and my 10.8 Reactor 2 has only been used a handful of times in the winter only- thinking maybe I'll sell this as I have many overlapping big kites. Perfect shape, clean. I would keep my long line set that i had flown it on so I'll throw it out there to see if there is any interest and go from there.

How does 300.00 k/o sound - let me know!

Mark

added a shot that someone took from a restaurant last winter when I go over to put on the evening dinner show. I remember this day had maybe 1mph ground wind but a few mph up high.

Just showed my wife this post and she says I should just buy a paraglider to see if it's different ... I'm not allowed to buy any more kites

Great Kite:thumbup:

It does need some space to run though... If there isn't enough wind for my 7.8 at our small park I usually won't fly the 10.8 - unless I'm really needing a kiting fix:P

My favorite place to fly the 10.8 is the beach where we can go for miles. i did 33mph at SOBB with this kite but 25 - 27 is about the max speed without getting pulled downwind. The RIII will do a little better but not much.

We did nice run of sunset beach with me on the RII and K3 on the RIII (10.8). K3 had the edge in top speed with the newer kite but he also weighs in 50lb less than me! I think if we had swapped kites K3 would have been pulled off the beach in the winds we were flying in.

I know there are few Reactors up for grabs lately and I haven't been pushing this one. It's still up for sale. I have several overlapping kites from 9 through 12m so this one has been sitting unused. I flew it a small handful of times in the winter - clean and perfect condition. I have switched my long set over to another big kite so this is kite only but if needed I could work out a new line set and an option on handles. I could bring it down to JIBE or make arrangements to get it to where ever through friends or post
Red/white/black color scheme - 300.00 k/o
(getting closer to events so I'll also post few other kites for sale as soon as i do some sorting)

Mark will you and this glider be at WBB?

markite - 16-3-2015 at 08:13 PM

I'm fairly certain i can't do WW and JIBE back to back but I'm not going to say I 100% can't make it. I could send the kite along with a friend that happens to be going that way if needed ;)
