I got one already in, and two going after next year. its exciting and sad to see them to leave the nest.

BEC - 5-12-2014 at 05:47 AM

There isn't a better feeling in the world to know that your kids are going to do well and that you had a major part in making that happen....Really happy for you Cheezy...you have some great kids....

Now when does that first bill come in, so I can be on the "LOOKOUT" for some FB's for sale....:D

Have a great weekend

abkayak - 5-12-2014 at 06:17 AM

:thumbup:....congrats, Potown to Hartford only 82mile on route 44.. you can do that by bicycle

cheezycheese - 5-12-2014 at 06:55 AM

Well Bruce, we're hoping there wont be much of a bill. She is sporting a 97.6 avg. Her guidance counselor told us to start collecting the checks. She was inducted to the National Honor Roll society last week.

cheezycheese - 9-4-2015 at 08:02 AM

Well this week has been an emotional high. We started off Easter weekend at a luncheon with the Exempt Fireman's Association. Courtney was awarded $1,000 in scholarship funds.

Then the mail comes on Tues. and Courtney just received a full four year academic scholarship to Massachusetts school of Art and Design. All tuition and books. I am beyond proud of my little girl. Even better is she is a stones throw from Nahant !!

abkayak - 9-4-2015 at 08:27 AM

:thumbup:....good stuff, better then a new quiver actually

BEC - 9-4-2015 at 08:41 AM

On top of the proud Papa moment....MA School of Art and Design.....What a wonderful city to live in...safe and you can walk the entire thing....

hiaguy - 9-4-2015 at 09:04 AM

Congratulations Courtney!
Mark, you (and mama cheesy too) have every right to be proud of her and thank you for sharing it with us:-)
PS: Thanks, Courtney, for giving your dad another reason to get together with the Natant crew.

ssayre - 9-4-2015 at 01:06 PM

Awesome bro, congrats! I've got one going to college in the fall but not on scholarship.

jrhook - 9-4-2015 at 01:54 PM

Mark and family...we live closer than two kiters should unless they have daily access to clean wind and hardpack! Meeting you at WBB last fall confirmed my suspicion that you were a cool dude.

Having that kind of pride, not like the kind in the bible that turns you bad, is totally awesome and well deserved. I'll bet the best is yet to come with her so fasten your seatbelt man.

Congrats to all, especially the accomplished one and can't wait to do some serious kiting - Jim

shehatesmyhobbies - 9-4-2015 at 05:57 PM

Dude that is so awesome. Congrats to Courtney and yourself!

3shot - 9-4-2015 at 06:01 PM

That is awesome! Congrats!!

soliver - 9-4-2015 at 06:26 PM

Congrats to Courtney and Congrats to Dad!!!

As an Art School Grad I can tell you that you both are in for a great experience!!!

cheezycheese - 9-4-2015 at 07:10 PM

Guys thanks for all the well wishes. Glad I could share it here. I don't use any forms of social media other than this forum. But I know my kite family would appreciate the news.

We are all still soaking it in. Mass Art is an awesome place. And nearby relatively. She can't wait and I am excited for her. Definitely will be living vicariously through her. Always waiting to hear about that new experience.

skimtwashington - 9-4-2015 at 08:35 PM

Congrats!

..on acceptance and scholarship.

Ya gotta have art....!
